On The Legend of Shen Li Mar 20, 2024
Title The Legend of Shen Li Spoiler
I feel that the reason why the ML doesn't confess immediately that he is who she thinks he is... Cause if you remember, when he returned back to the Divine world, he specifically said to the others closed to him... that they shouldn't mention to anyone that he went to the mortal world... For whatever reason he had in mind at that time.

So, for him to not admit it in front of others was the right action for him to do despite the fact that it will hurt her feelings at that time... But that's the way it had to be... I'm sure the reason why he eventually picks her out of everyone to lead him into that "dangerous area"... Is that he wants to have the time to "maybe" let each other figure out their feelings towards each other... Because in the mortal world, she left hastily because her "master" demands her back and then eventually punished her by sending her to the icy palace to be locked up as punishment. He doesn't know what she had to go through when she returns back to the immortal world. He on the other hand, constantly reminisce about her while he was in the mortal world till his death & eventually returns back to the Divine Realm. Possibly he might be slightly a bit indifferent with her because of the experience... He's uncertain about the relationship between the two of them that was started in the mortal realm...

But he does know who she is and his actions shows that he cares for her but can't admit that he likes her too in front of everyone yet. He has to put "all the realms" citizens safety and priority first as usual. Even if he may have feelings for her... He like others in the "highest position role: him being the last eternal God left", he can't completely admit it. As well, he was the one who made the mistake of the so-called arranged marriage between the two realms.

As well, based on the trailers, the FL's master seems to not like/wary of him with the main FL (God of War). Not sure why... Though... Maybe related to some past that weren't good between her (the master) & the ML I guess... But we'll have to see ... As the drama progresses.

Anyways, that's how I interpret or understand what I saw in the recent episodes of this drama (up to EP 8) and the trailers for EP 9 & 10. My two cents worth thus far. Please don't bash me for my opinion on this drama.

P.S. I love this drama to pieces... Completely a masterpiece full of humor plus seriousness at times too. Lots of fun 😊 can't wait to watch the rest of them ASAP.

On Angels Fall Sometimes Mar 4, 2024
The upcoming urban melodrama, #AngelsFallSometimes starring #LinYi and #LiLandi is actually a remake of the 2014 Japanese hit series, "The Hours of My Life" starring Haruma Miura, it has only 11 episodes while Lin Yi's version has 24 episodes.

The Hours of My Life was a hit series, even Douban users rated it very high, 8.4! Which is unusual for domestic fans to appreciate a Japanese drama that much.

According to reviewers, "The Hours of My Life", although a highly emotional drama and really heartbreaking, it somehow shows a positive take on life, which is something inspiring.

Update: Thanks to our followers who commented about Haruma Miura's death. Yes, he died by apparent suicide in July 2020. He was only 30 at the time of his death. So sad. May his soul forever rest in peace. 🙏😢

==========================

Just how many dramas we have watched that confront the very core of our emotions, even subconscious? I guess only few.

It's so rare that terminal illnesses are addressed in a drama because we abhor this kind of theme, we don't want a sad drama, we want a fairytale drama, but then we all know that life is not all about fairytale.

Sadness is real, suffering is real. And we need to get on with it. But instead of wallowing in dispair, and sulking in one corner, we need to face it, be an inspiration to others, and learn to live life without regrets. It has positive learning lessons to offer, making Angels Fall Sometimes a must-watched drama this year. It will premiere on March 9 on CCTV-8 and Tencent!

Yue Qi is not as naive but just lack empathy from the start. As the adventure progress, she will learn emotion.…
I see... Thanks for the clarification. Appreciate it. Still at lost of everyone's character story...even after reading the "Discussion Post" info... I'm still confused about it all... Guess I will just keep on watching it to the end to figure it all out. 😅

Actually I don't trust Luo family so far especially Luo Maiming...as for Yue Qi, she seems so naive and eats a lot... But can fight. As for Yue Jin Zhao, he's very smart & powerful... But I don't see him eat much. Bian Luohan... I don't know if he is trustworthy or not. But based on the trailer... he is actually her master ... Yet further preview trailers in EP 10 he not trustworthy suddenly? Is he real related to Yue Jin Zhao!? Xiu Ming & Xian Qin... ? Ju Shi Fang??...

This story is definitely very confusing and mysterious at the same time... Lots of puzzles to solve... In terms of who's good or bad.

Anyways, so far so good. Enjoy it.

Title My Demon
I think almost all those who want both of our leads to die... Are the greediest, selfish, ego-centered ppl out there. They're worst than the Demon, himself. At least our main ML, the Demon himself is more caring and understanding than those who are only merely humans. As for the 2 leads, I'm certain that they have a special bond-connection that makes them deeply connected with each other... Not just a merely powerful tattoo of our main ML that just gets transferred to her for no reasons. Can't wait to watch the rest after the New Year. Merry Christmas everyone. Been a while since I last watched a kdrama. 😅

On Love Me, Love My Voice Dec 14, 2023
🌺Review: Love me, love my voice from a professional reviewer:

Mobao Feibao’s writing style is characterized by its gentle and endearing nature. In the majority of her novels, the two main characters quickly fall in love and share numerous joyful moments throughout the story. However, some audiences find her style to be monotonous and crave more plot twists. Personally, I find her novels to be unique in that they not only focus on the love between the main characters, but also delve into the lives of other characters and many other aspects of life. Particularly, the drama "Love me, love my voice" showcases a captivating blend of traditional music, culinary delights, and exceptional voice acting, setting it apart from others in its genre. Each episode features either delectable food recipes or introduces beautiful songs.

There are numerous films that, upon closer examination, prove to be captivating and thrilling in their intricate details. However, when viewed as a whole, the intended message behind these films may not always be clear. Each individual’s approach to watching films is unique, and as such, every style will find its own audience. The stories presented in Mobao Feibao, while perhaps not immediately enticing to viewers on a surface level, reveal themselves to be rich with valuable and meaningful lessons when considered within a broader context.

The characters and their lives depicted in the film exude a remarkable sense of realism. None of them hail from excessively privileged or affluent backgrounds, nor do they possess an air of unattainability. Rather, they evoke a strong sense of familiarity, as if one has encountered them in real life. Dr. Mo Qing Cheng, for instance, despite having doctor parents, does not receive the full extent of their care due to their demanding schedules. Even when he falls ill or sustains injuries, he is compelled to accept it as normal, as his parents, being doctors themselves, perceive such ailments and pains as inconsequential. On New Year’s Eve, he finds himself alone in the Perfect Voice studio, devoid of celebratory company. His adept culinary skills do not stem from inherent talent, but rather from a childhood marked by loneliness, with cooking serving as a means to alleviate his loneliness.

Similarly, Feng Yasong, Dr. Mo’s colleague at the recording studio, and Off Key, who hails from the same studio as Sheng Sheng "Day to Day,” have endured unhappy pasts, with their parents’ divorces leaving lasting impacts. Off Key, in particular, has had to undertake multiple low-paying jobs to make ends meet. In this drama, everyone must continually strive if they wish to survive.

The love story portrayed in the film is strikingly authentic, eschewing the fairy tale trope of a handsome, wealthy, and domineering CEO falling in love with a Cinderella-like girl. It also diverges from the narrative of a girl harboring secret affection and longing for her idol. Two main characters share a deep appreciation for sounds and a love for their respective crafts. They support each other on their career paths and explore various aspects of real life. This is far from a cliché love story; it is a realistic portrayal of love. It is a sweet and gentle love story that is easily encountered in our surrounding lives. The profound love shared between the main characters serves as a catalyst for an enhanced appreciation of life, fostering a more positive perception of the world around them. No longer confined to admiring the idealized love stories found solely within the realm of movies, viewers are encouraged to believe and aspire to find a genuine and affectionate partner in real life, one who, akin to the character of Dr. Mo Qing Cheng, treats them with respect and warmth.

One aspect to praise in this film is its emphasis on the role of voice acting, a job that is rarely recognized or appreciated. Besides having a good voice, voice artists also have to deeply understand the characters they are dubbing, and know which tone of voice to use in different contexts. The intonation of the voice must also harmonize with the actor’s facial expressions. In short, voice artists play a crucial role in the success of a film. I really appreciate how the film brought these unsung heroes to the forefront of the stage. In the film, from Qiang Qingci to Feng Yasong, everyone has their own fans. This shows how much respect Mobao Feibao, the author and the scriptwriter, has for these silent artists. The film also celebrates the culinary culture which helps us understand more about delicious dishes from different regions, such as Savory mooncakes, or xian rou yue bing (鲜肉月饼) in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, and the specialty of tea oil in Quzhou province. It promotes tourism and helps today’s youth learn more about traditional music culture, especially Gufeng music. From Wikipedia, Gufeng music( traditional Chinese: 古風音樂; simplified Chinese: 古风音乐) is a type of music genre by artists originating from the Greater China region, It is a kind of C-pop music with the background of Chinese legends, the style of Chinese folk songs and drama, the melody that is similar to classical Chinese music and played by classical Chinese musical instruments. The lyrics of Gufeng music are created mainly based on ancient Chinese mythological legends and verses. In recent years, this kind of songs are often used in Xianxia, Wuxia games, anime, dramas, etc. This kind of music has also become popular among Internet cultures such as Hanfu movement.

In summary, I highly recommend this drama to individuals seeking entertainment and relaxation after a long day of work. Particularly, this film is tailored for those who possess a sensitivity towards sounds and hold an affinity for traditional music. It serves as an exceptional source of solace and rejuvenation, offering a truly therapeutic viewing experience."

My review after the professional reviewer on this drama this far (my 2-cents opinion...):

I really love how this summary was written, as it actually is how I feel too about this drama. In terms of voice dubbing, music, composing, directing, school life, cooking, being a doctor at the hospital, the places where they visit (tourism promotion of different parts of China), every day life, etc. I actually love this drama to pieces. As it embodies every day real life situations and opening your eyes to a whole new world of real life career situations that one would not think too much of!! That's why I really love this drama too, because it's as realistic as it can be. The relationship between the two leads are on fire, slow but beautifully done/captured/shown. Love this kind of relationship that's not rushed as that's what some real life love relationship should meant to be. As for all the other characters in the story, they are portrayed well too by everyone and their backgrounds, etc are given depth too. Which is why I definitely recommend that you watch it because it beautifully done/captured. It's not your typical trope. It's refreshing to watch and every moment of the drama makes me feel like I am part of their lives too. 💜 Well done Tan Jian Ci and everyone else in this drama plus shout out to the director/producer/scriptwriter and crew for bringing this drama to life!! 💜🥳 Definitely worth my time to watch it all.

On I May Love You Nov 26, 2023
After watching all 6 episodes of this drama this far, in my opinion I like it... And for those who don't like it can move on. No need to bash the drama itself. As well, I really can't stand ppl going around comparing dramas, etc. Each project is a standalone and different story all together. Also, those who complain about Chinese dramas are always like that (same trope, same storyline, etc)... Well so are many other dramas in the other countries too! I have seen enough other countries dramas that show about the same trope in their many drama series releases too. So, go find something else to do or watch. Stop bashing the drama which just got released recently. Guess I should say that there will always be complainers for everything as always, nothing new... How about you write something and produce something if you think you have what it takes to produce a great drama?? The actors, actresses and every member of the crew including the director, producers, storywriters put a lot of energy into it. They don't need you to bash all their hard work. Disappointed with this generation of ppl who think they have what it takes to look down at someone's hard work.
