I totally agree with you. His sister is the most selfish-self-centered person of all. She never cared about anyone for all she cares. All she cares is money and money. She has no heart for her family nor her staff at all. She would fire people left and right -- and would do anything to hurt the staff morales very easily. If this hotel exist with her -- I don't think anyone would even bother to work long enough to do so. She's the most pathetic person of all... heartless and always finding ways to ruin/destroy Won for the sake of her selfishness! She's pretty much jealous of him.
While Won on-the-otherhand is a caring person who has a heart -- how -- he learnt it all from Sa Rang! She made him understand how to care for others -- especially the employees of King Hotel & Group. Ideal or not -- I agree with him in many ways -- without care for the employees - in terms of respect/honor etc, how would the company expand over the world? The company has been in business for 100 years and for what Won did that day - was to really pay tribute for all the employees hardwork. Real companys who goes far and care for their employees are worth working for. Those who careless about their staff will have a high-turnover rate for staff and less people will want to work for them.
In real life that's what I've experienced before when I used to work for a hotel chain - the company didn't treat their staff fairly and put blame on me for something I've never done wrong -- been super wrongly accused for another staff member's problem (I became a scapegoat) and -- as a result for the blame -- instead of them telling me that they fired me - I quit on the spot right away. As I don't deserve that kind of treatment from a heartless/lying hotel company ever. From then on, I stayed away from them and told all those around what kind of treatment I got from that particular hotel chain. If they were honest and treated their staff right properly - I would've continued working for them still. But their lowly disrespectiveful treatment to me - was not worth my time & energy at all. Besides before I quit my job with them - many employees were mistreated too - ones that I've trained together with & worked together with - they were all being treated unfairly as well - as a result either they quit part way or fired from the company itself.
So, if anyone think Won's ideal plan is not going to work -- well if it was put into place - it may take time to achieve - but it can happen with everyone's effort and care as a team. A company that's worth mentioning is the ones that treat their staff right and not just only about R.O.I. (money focused). Because that will be considered a successful company that has a heart which includes teamwork & care too. Not a selfish - self-centered company who only cares about earning money and care less of their employees -- if it's that way -- that's more like a "black company" where they work their staff to death/mistreat them, etc (that's literally called slave work) -- that's illegal and those companies should be punished by the law.
Also, in regards to how Won go time to manage those 300+ companies -- well he has been abroad for a long period of time and he has connections around the world to do so -- if he can already do so even before becoming president of the King Hotel group - then of course he can do it. He didn't do it overnight - he had been do so for a long period of time. Remember where he was before returning back to Korea and how he wasn't just idling around. Plus he came into work one day - skydiving - to show off - sort of. But he has connections/he has somethings up his sleeve already before return back to the hotel - let's just say he was showing his "hands" on the table in front of everyone on the day of presentation - what he can do if he put his heart into it. He's not stupid either.
As well between the two main leads - I think they're prefect for each other. Whether we like it or not. Yes we are getting the angst of them being split up -- partially done by his so-called sister in the background - not his dad's doing actually (he was pressured by his sister's manipulating the board of directors to do so). Mind you it's not good - the way Sa Rang responded and did what she was told to do - but then again - how much fighting energy can she have against a rich person as his father was or so-called sister too? A lot of time - I feel like Won's sister doesn't seem to be like his sister at all. She's totally heartless and selfish all the way. Is she adopted or something?!? Making her a step-sister of his? There's no way they seemed to be related to each other - their actions are so different from each other.

Ok, I rewatched it again - yes I think you're right about it -- so at the bottom of my original post - I updated it with more insights of what I saw/view/understood.

Ok, I rewatched it again - yes I think you're right about it -- so at the bottom of my original post - I updated it with more insights of what I saw/view/understood.
Based on my observation as to why Xiang Liu allowed her to fall to the bottom of the lake/ocean and then rescuing cpr/kissing her:
It's not the matter of drowing her & then rescue cpr/kiss her at the bottom of the lake/ocean that Xiang Liu did this...
He did it partly b/c of the "lover poison bug" that is connect between Xiao Yao and Xuan -- in order for her not to feel that pain when the arrow hit "Xuan" in a midnight attack against him (it was done in order to hurt Xuan in a "scheming battle" by Tushan's fiance -- who is the evil schemer behind it all).
If you understand this "pain - lover poison bug" -- you'll understand why Xiang Liu did that to her -- he doesn't want her to feel the "pain of the arrow" from which the evil "Tushan fiance" shot at "Xuan" on the night of the "planned special icy arrow attack on him".
If Xiang Liu didn't allow her to pass-out underwater -- she will definitely feel the pain of Xuan's "arrow attack" on him. I know this may not be a practical way of preventing the pain that he doesn't want her to suffer/endure - but I guess in some ways -- that's his way of resolving the "sticky" matter at that moment.
In the end -- he did rescue her after when he believes that the attack was completed by "Tushan's evil fiance on Xuan" and quickly goes and rescue cpr/kissed her under water - before bringing her back out of the water to the shoreline. -- where they had another "heart to heart" talk again under the moonlight. That's why after that last attack on Xuan, he (Xiang Liu) kept on hinting on when can "lover poison bug" be removed from Xuan - and having Xiao Yao transfer it to him despite the consequences he will have to suffer when he does take it into his body. He's now actually sacrificing himself for her safety, happiness & love for her without her knowing about it at all.
So before complaining really watch between the lines of their actions before deciding what they did is good /bad. My 2-cents worth of observation of the drama itself.
Update/clarification based on what other said too - yes drowning her was another way -- to hurt Xuan during the battle - so that he can feel her pain & he get distracted - so that the arrow will actually get him this time around during the assassination attempt on him. Whether the idea was good or not -- > Xiang Liu didn't really want to "kill her" on purpose - but used her on purpose to take down Xuan. But again, it also prevents her from ruining the plan of the even "Tushan fiance" had against Xuan at that time. As the battle relationship between the two had been ongoing for a long time. As well, after rewatching the part where Xiang Liu went to the old man for clarification of the "love poison bug" - he took that info to use it as a sort advantage of the battle between the two - indirectly. Eventually, though down the road -- Xiao Yao found out about this all & goes save Xuan once again - despite what Xiang Liu did to her. I guess you can say it's a bit love/hate relationship/friendship between all 3 of them. Xiao Yao saved Xuan b/c she knows he's her long lost brother/cousin...Xiang Li u is still kept in the dark why she keeps on saving Xuan... so in some ways he's jealous of their relationship -- with Xuan having the "love poison bug" in him... of course later it did get transfered into him (Xiang Liu) -- b/c he "loves" her and wants to help her...and protect her?!? Either way -- like I said -- the 3 ppl here have a very complicated relationship background. Xiao Yao - wants to be at peace with everyone and not get tangled up in all the power struggles out in the world - that's why originally she end up in that current town - and become a physician there. Yet -- her life gets tangled again b/c these guys came in town and tangled with her. Sigh...ouch.
I honestly don't trust 17's (Tushan Jing's) so-called fiance...she's also very evil! Like I want to kill her too! Argh! No wonder why Xiang Liu toss her into the lake -- and let her passed out in the lake and then after rescue her (Xiao Yao) -- b/c it was Tushan's fiance who did that. Argh. She's very despicable!
Anyhow -- Xiang Liu - to be honest -- he really does love her to the point where he takes the "love poison bug" for her and cares for her on a different level -- when they were at the bottomof the ocean together in a bubble -- exploring the place and then he's holding her hands to make those underwater flowers bloom -- and smiling at her when she looked amazed at what happen - brought out a lot of sweetness between the two. He's so playful with her under the water. Yes, at times before the "love poison bug" was in Xuan he was somewhat jealous of him -- and kept on hinting to Xiao Yao that there's nobody except him that will take on the bug afterwards -- goes to show how much he cares for her -- at times he does really feel conflicted with what he does for others -- but when he's with her - he seems to be at ease & happy around her. I can see that in him.
Although there may be times he had hurt her -- but in the end he still heals her & tries his best to protect/help her. Like it or not - he does have some of his softside in him. The most beautiful parts was when he does the cpr/kiss with her in the water (but that was b/c he was helping someone else to hurt Xuan) - yes he allow her to passed out - in the water when they fallen into it -- but there were a couple of parts that made him a gentleman - when they hit the water -- he took the impact first - while she was ontop of him -- and then rescuing her -- when she was falling away from him -- it took a few minutes to realize it - intentional/not -- he still goes and rescues her.
Anyways, all I can say is Xiang Liu did do a lot of things for her secretly and willingly - in his own loving way for her -- but how I wished that he told her one day - that he really loves her too.
As for Xuan - still have mixed feelings with him & his intentions. Good/bad.
As for 17 aka Tushan Jing - he too is very caring towards Xiao Yao -- to the point, I believe that he loves her a lot too and don't want to lose her too. He's willing to do anything for her and give her anything that she asks without questioning why she wants it. He trusts her a lot - but those around him -- I don't trust at all...esp his wicked fiance! Don't like her at all.
Well, that's my 2-cents of opinion -- so far for this drama (finished up to ep 12 today). Don't hate me for it. *peace out*
Also hot spring scene was very hot)) people can think Im weirdo, but all bite scenes especially last ones very…
I fit in the same category too. I actually wanna ship Xiang Liu with her instead of the other 2... 😅🤣🥰🔥 Their scenes are more lit than the others ML with her... Oops.
Unfortunately in the trailer it doesn’t look like they will end up together
From the actual trailer, it sounds like Shi Qi aka Tu Shan Jing was killed by her brother Cang Xuan. So, I dunno how these two will have a happy ending?? As for Xiang Liu, even though everyone says he's evil ... He actually starts to like her a lot too... Almost to the point of loving her. Yes, he bites her to heal himself, etc... but when she was seriously injured, he took a lot of effort to heal her too... Even to the point of using his own Qi power to heal her...when she passed out in the pool of healing water before Shi Qi took her away. Plus basing on future trailers, he will do a lot more to heal/protect her too. Interestingly, I want her to be with him as well. 😅 Conflicted. Hmmm not sure when the last ML will come into the story though...
Is it me or what ...I feel like the two main leads aren't together enough. Feels like the ML isn't the main character but 2nd male lead instead. His screen time is a lot less than the other characters on-screen esp with Luo Minxi. He seems to have way more screen time with the FL than anyone else in the story...
