I believe it changed the reapers' ways of dealing with the suicidal people. Before he joined the team, we saw the team leader treat the suicidal people by fear (once in roof top by making the person jump, another by making multiple people thinking they were going to die in accident) .

After he joined and they saw how he handled cases, they also changed their approach by changing people's opinion by helping and supporting them instead of putting fear in their mind

At first, since everything was new, I thought the balance between the episodic plots and the main plot was good. In the last four episodes however, they are just going off episodic plot mostly.
Episode wise, they are interesting but it will get boring for me next week if it continues
