On episode 3, it’s still too early to judge, and no one is applauding FX’s actions or behavior.
The show has high ratings because it’s extremely well made for its genre in every way, from the performances and chemistry to the directing, and because it has a very distinctive story.
Of course, it’s not for everyone. It’s intense and plays heavily with the viewers’ psychology and emotions, so not everyone can handle it.
But most importantly, it’s fiction. I really hope we can finally stop confusing TV shows with real life. We’re all adults watching this. It shouldn’t be that hard to separate the two.

I hear you, but unfortunately not everyone's thinking that way. Personally I prefer to rate after I finish a show, and I rarely rate something I don’t like, especially if it’s well-directed and has good actors, even if the story wasn’t really my taste.

Exactly! I said it before, this series isn't for everyone! It has so much depth for some people to understand the show and enjoyed it.

Or, you can rate when you'll finish the series. As you said, at this moment, you haven't watched all the episodes yet. And it would be a same to drop the series now.

I consider it to be much more toxic than the two series you mentioned earlier, just in a different way. I can't compare them, this series has much more depth. It may even be the darkest romance I’ve personally ever seen. There is redemption, though. If you don’t like this kind of genre, I would suggest not wasting your time on it, it will weigh on you heavily and make you angry. It’s a series that plays intensely with the psychological world of its characters, and, along with that, with our own.
However, if you think you can handle it, you won’t regret it, if only for the emotional rollercoaster you’ll experience. It’s one of those series that stay with you, and for me it’s worth it beyond words.
That said, I don’t think it’s a series for everyone, not everyone can handle it.

At least we can suffer through it together here, until the special comes out. And I’m pretty sure after that we’ll be suffering together even more 😭
