Well, right now I'm reading fanfics here and there, watching non BL, and following XiZhao for my "yaoi cravings" 🤣 And honestly, with all the content they're giving us, I barely have time to do anything else anymore 😅 You really need to check out their concerts, they're incredible.
So for now, I don't even feel like watching anything else. I have everything you mentioned on my list, though. Especially Ash, there's no way I'm not watching that at some point.

Double Helix was good, but honestly, it didn't grab me nearly as much as I expected it to. After that, every other BL I tried either bored me or I ended up dropping it and going right back to SCD, so I decided to take a little break from BLs. That's actually why I still haven't watched A Winter Sun. I've heard nothing but amazing things about it, and I really don't want to watch it while I'm in this state of being completely stuck on SCD and waiting for season 2. Judging by your new pfp, you loved it too, so I guess it really is as good as everyone says.

Well, I'm not gonna try to convince you since we still don't have an official announcement, but I've been keeping up with the boys and aaaall their news and content, and at this point I'm pretty sure the question isn't if we're getting a second season, but when. The latest update is that, in their last livestream, the boys said filming should start in about two months, give or take. Also they're already casting people for some of the roles they'll need for season 2.
So, for me, it's definitely a matter of when, not if 😏

True, but the city doesn’t exist anymore, at least not the way it did back then. The whole thing was demolished and the area was completely redeveloped, and I don’t think there’s really anywhere similar to the Walled City that they could’ve gone to film in either. Plus, the story doesn’t take place entirely inside the Walled City. A lot of it happens outside too, on Hong Kong Island and in other parts of Hong Kong, especially after the first few episodes. It’s a low budget series, so where were they supposed to get the money to recreate the whole place properly? Given what they had to work with, I think they did a pretty decent job.

I’m so glad you liked it that much! Unfortunately, now you’ll have to suffer with the rest of us until season 2, but still, I think it’s worth it 💛

There will be a Season 2. The actors themselves have confirmed it multiple times, and they've said they're starting filming in two months, so if everything goes smoothly, we should hopefully get it sometime in the first few months of 2027. And obviously the story can't possibly end like that. The first season barely covered a third of the novel, so there's still A LOT left to come.
