I find it hard to believe that Fu knows and hiding it from Moo.. đ I think he was genuinely signed up by his…
I know one can overthink this and it is only a tv show, but Fu does make the remark that the cocoa was encouragement from Moo, something Tutor M recommended HE do. I don't know what's actually what, but I'm having fun watching it all. Too impatient for Saturday, or Sunday where I am!
I think I am losing a lot in translation with this one (Thai to English). I got to the end of episode 3 and just didn't feel that what was being said about In's character being chameleon like had been supported by what the subtitles were translating. Or maybe it is the script. Plus the humour obviously isn't translating which is probably no ones fault. I bet writing subtitles to convey meaning and nuance is a bitch of a job.
And is the club in a sleepy village or a city? I am totally confused by that.

Youâve positioned the bar to suit your interpretation. I donât think I said anything about Fu not being green. I said none of the characters skew to the extremes of the red/green colour spectrum. In fact I think Fu currently is probably closer to the green end than the red. Bobbing around in the murky brown with the rest of us âlow barâ decent humans!
You obviously donât like the character of Fu and thatâs ok. We canât love everyone in this life. Even fictional characters!
Honest question: I see people here calling Fu a "green-flag-character". I'm not a fan of "red flag"-"green…
Take out the word "exceptionally" and say a green flag character is one who tends to demonstrates good and healthy behaviours in creating relationships. You know, the type of relationships most normal people have: trying to be kind and decent. I don't get they have to exceed expectations.
I agree that the flag term flattens. I like your choice of word there as the labels reduce characters to an either or. Black or white. Good or bad. Angel or devil. No wriggle room. No nuance. None of the character in this show present yet at either end of this colour spectrum.
But I can see why some people might choose to use the word green for Fu because he hasn't yet, I don't know, raped his boyfriend like in Double Helix, or set out to completely ruin a decent man's life on a whim through lies and manipulation like in To My Shore, or gone down that tired line of make them fall in love with me then dump them like in Revenged Love (or even in LITA where totally "green flag" Rain thinks he can do it with Phayu), or have sex (or pretend to) with your own boyfriend's oldest friend to destroy your relationship, also Revenged Love.
Next to those scant examples Fu is the colour of lime coola. And for all his faults, tick off all the things he did right when Moo was drunk. I can think of 6 without going back and rewatching the scene. It's comedy.
This is a tiny little nitpick but I do wish they'd get the English translation right that Fu has 2 siblings not 3. Maybe in Thai he is saying we are 3 siblings but it isn't being translated that way. I keep waiting for that 4th brother to appear! Ok got that off my chest. Moving on!
But I do love that it is Boss in this show who gets to do the "bling bling" eyes he loved Noeul doing as Phukan in BNW (but doesn't do IRL, apparantly).
Did you miss the scene where he does the walk through of the hotel? Yeah I will give you that some of the character traits being underlined were subtle, but they do show he isnât as completely one dimensional as you suggest. I donât always have to love a a character from the first episode. Iâm happy to see what Fu delivers as the series continues as I suspect there is more than meets the eye about most of these characters. Maybe not Tee?!
and he's not trying to be Pond so that's ok. Boss is Boss thank goodness and I wouldn't want him any other way.
Well if my Thai to English translation is correct, because my Thai is limited to ordering off a heavily Aussiefied Thai menu, that is what Noeul said in an interview.
Wait can someone explain why exactly does moo hate chinese looking guys. I get that his family is half Chinese…
Grizzly Bear I haven't read the book but from what I understand having read comments of people who have, Moo is being a bit Lizzie Bennet and letting his prejudice get in the way of seeing Fu for what he really might be and what he might have to offer, not what he thinks he is. His ethnicity is a bit of a smoke screen and an excuse. I may be WAAAAY off here. Time will tell!
I wish people would stop comparing fu character with thee or duang. this series is so fun actually but it will…
With you on that. Comparisons are pointless. Thee and Duang werenât particularly alike anyway. And itâs actually possibile to like all three characters!
Iâm getting Have You Got Mail vibes! Pretty obvious about the texting so is one of them going to work it out sooner rather than later?
And can anyone tell me, are Moo Moo Jellies a real thing or just made up for this story?
Although I would call finger sucking "erotic" more than "vulgar", but that's just me!
And is the club in a sleepy village or a city? I am totally confused by that.
