Ah you found it. I remember as part of Kuma's explanation he is saying Qing Lang is saying things dont need to change even if Sister Lan has gone. It fits with your explanation that sometimes the tea stays hot. Things dont need to cool between them.

Ah and of course Qing Tian puts down that last cup of tea without even tasting it.

Qing Tian was well aware that Wenshu loved him but they just never spoke about it until that scene where he says to wait for him. You don't always have to say the words out loud for the sentiment to be understood. He walked in the love every day, recognised the care but it just went unspoken because of circumstances. I find Wenshu's grief at the very end the hardest thing to bear. It is a brilliant piece of acting. It pierces to the core.

I am a big tea drinker. Coffee always smells better than it tastes, which makes me laugh because Lang Di says the same thing about tea while learning to roast it!

Much is made of which tea represents which character in episode 13 and maybe in 12 as well. I am getting confused! It is poetic and another way to explore character. And I noticed cups of tea left undrunk or only partially is also emphasised in these two episodes. I am sure it is hugely cultural. I remember Kuma explaining in one of the reaction videos why he leaves the cup Sister Jilian pours for him when they talk about his contract. Meaning in everything.

Tea washes away the cares of the world. Isn't that why the British stole it from the Chinese in the first place! That it is so intrinsically tied into this story, and these characters is just another of the lovely threads in this woven tapestry.

It's a little theatre episode. Can't remember which number. It's titled something like where are you on duty tonight. Outside.

It's before the episode where they visit Qing Lang's mother and grandmother.

Chang Yang is friends with Qing Tian who is Qing Lang's younger brother. When QL is feeling burned out QT arranges for him to go to the Tea Mountains to rest and asks CY if his brother can stay there. He cant take his assistant: no space.

Qing Lang is being a complete diva with Chang Yang, testing his tolerance and competence. He is pretty quickly smitten. You can see ithe first signs of it by the end of the first ep.

Qi Hao Yu and Han Lu are two young actors remaking the same series that Qing Lang and Shi Yuhao debuted in 7 years earlier. Their story is a parallel to see if history repeats itself or their path diverges. You will learn the full story of QL and SY's history.

If you keep watching lots of your questions will be answered. This isnt a drama where we are spoonfed. We are expected to look and listen carefully to everything we see and hear and work out whats going on. It is really worth the effort but you will have to watch the episodes more than once to catch it all.

It was Chang Yang's birthday. Neither of them could stand being apart any longer so instictively Chang Yang hunted down Qing Lang. In the carpark you can see him right at the back. He uses the same bird call he used in ep 4 to signal Qing Lang he is there. They are a mated pair so QL flies to CY and we get one of the best make up scenes ever filmed.

Have you ever seen the now very old Australian movie Picnic at Hanging Rock? In one one the final scenes some schoolgirls are climbing yhe rock and one of the girls turns and waves and then continues the climb. I was just prosaically pushing my trolley around the supermarked thinking of QT doing the same thing shrouded in mist and that scene from the movie popped into my head. The girls were never seen again.

Now I'm here in my car in the carpark outside the supermarket crying like I didn't last night grieving QT but grieving more for QL.

Time to head back to my spring hill for quiet contemplation.

My drama upbringing suggests Chekov’s gun is in play. You show a bear in the first act, you use it in the third act. Or QT talks taking his own life in an early episode, he achieves it in a later one. I go back and forth over the truth of QTs manner of death. Maybe we will know or maybe never. Maybe the plot demands it because of what happens from this point forward to those left behind. Time will tell.

I really like your sentiment of just sitting with it. I have read some of the comments where people are angry or hurt or confused. Some make what to me are basically immature statements like not watching anymore. I see that as disrespectful to the drama, the writer, the actors, who are telling a beautufully crafted story that covers the total joys and pains of living a life. Anger, hurt and confusion are some human reactions to death, especially an unexpected one so if the writer has made us feel that we should applaud that talent not rage against them.

Does Wenshu ever openly claim he is interested in Qing Lang? Qing Tian says it many times and Wenshu never contradicts him but I've been trying to remember a time when he openly says he is pursuing QL. It seems to be a game he plays along with to keep WT close. If he admits to not being interested in QL, little brother has no need to continue trying to bring them together and they will go their separate ways. I think QT finds great comfort with Wenshu and doesn't want thatcto happen. Giving him the other bracelet was a deliberate act.

Thank you for the deeper meaning of the title. It may not be an action packed episode but it is deeply meditative and important in progressing the plot and character development.

I just found the little theatre for ep 12 and it is gorgeous. The Ying and Yang of the pyjamas made me laugh. Nothing is accidental in this series. And now we finally get to hear how creaky that bed is.

Oh that couldn’t possibly have been 42 minutes? I blinked and it was over. The staircase scene was sheer playfulness. And the table being dead centre just as it has been so central in the development of Qing Lang and Chang Yang’s relationship was perfect.

You feel your blood pressure lower just being there with them.

@oddsare, if Qing Lang translates to bright, clear sunny sky, what does Qing Tian translate to? Is it a closer translation to what the blue bracelet represents?

Oh I wish I'd found you back in epusode 1. You would have understood my obsession with the scene where Chang Yang steals Qing Lang's phone who then tries to reclaim it all through the meal. Right at the end he grabs the phone, shakes his head at CY and then behind his back smiles. I knew at that point he was hooked and so was I.
