Zang Hai’s eyes during the banquet scene omg. You could see the mix of happiness yet fear in them so vividly. It’s like he’s afraid of losing the people at that table, the family he has left. It had almost child like innocence.

Xiao Zhan’s acting has really become one of the best.

Those are just MDL ratings. In reality prisoner and beauty did well but Legend of Zang Hai still dominated. I do think this drama will be broadcasted after Legend of Zang Hai because broadcasting companies love competition.

Even with this recent episode I still dont think the emperor is the third enemy because he doesn't need to do things so sneakily.

I think the masked man is the emperor and he is nurturing Zhang hai potentially as his successor (he has no heir). I think the emperor was also curious about the object and came to ask Zhang Hai’s dad but he got there one step too late. The show is purposely not showing the emperor too much as a stylistic choice , almost making us forget his presence so we don’t correlate the two together.

I agree! The issue with this drama is due to not acquiring distribution rights which they can easily do if they approach the original author properly. The cast in this drama is just too good to not capitalise on.

The story has some very interesting points and I dont find myself fast-forwarding at all but who is in charge of the music? They have made some very odd choices for backgrounds songs and sometimes he sounds dont flow well or just abruptly end..

Its airing tomorrow! I wonder if they will drop all of the episodes at once or promote normally?
