I do not want them to be together in the end. The deception from ITT isn’t forgiveable.
He knew what he was doing, knew what damage he was causing Ritt, knew that when it came out that Ritt would be devastated by his betrayal and by the betrayal he orchestrated by his best friend.
yes, Ritt started with a lie- but it was of a different magnitude - to Ritt, ITT was his childhood love. He was earnest thru the relationship and was so distraught over his initial actions. ITT was not earnest- he set up scenario after scenario to get Ritt to his house, to make him stay there, to make him feel like s*x was part of it… and thru all of it, ITT showed no remorse. He even said - well Ritt lied first. So his actions weren’t from feelings- they were revenge. He may have had feelings for Ritt- but that wasn’t his motivation. Remorse now is because he doesn’t like the consequences of his actions. Even if he finally is remorseful for the actions themselves and the damage he caused (not how it effects him), then he’s learned a lesson for the future- but not for a future with Ritt.
And don’t get me started on Pure. I hope I never have a friend like him. He helped ITT because he wanted Pitcha. Full stop. And he has the audacity to talk about Ritt starting it all with the fortunes?! Nonsense. Ritt was just messing around one night while he was having fun with his supposed best friend… and who basically forced-convinced him to keep it up… that’s right, it was Pure… again for his own gain.
Pure manipulated and used Ritt. ITT manipulated (and maybe used) Ritt. Yes, Ritt made mistakes- but people aren’t perfect and a person’s imperfection does not negate the harm that others intentionally cause them and it doesn’t make it ok for others to harm them.
