Great article! It's interesting to read all the comments and different views!
I feel the opposite of most of the points as to why they're bad, haha. (except #4 is actually WHY I like them, I don't like long series.)
I know a lot more about Japanese culture (I mean.. I live here & speak Japanese) than Korean, so I could never really get into kdramas because I felt like the way they acted seemed too fake and foreign, and I found it hard to relate. Whereas, jdramas seem a lot more natural to me. (also re #1, I think jguys are better looking than kguys, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder). But that doesn't mean that they're bad? They're just not for me.

I think it's really up to personal preferences and also what kind of target audience you're in. Kdramas don't have anything that appeals to me that a jdrama won't do better, but it's probably the complete opposite for someone else! Both are good. They're different countries and cultures so of course they'll have a different feel. And, though I don't care for the dramas, I do like Korean movies.
