There is a lot of relation to HL. He's portrayed by a different actor but it's still the same character. Also some of the timeline coincides.

HL haters keep cropping up here occasionally and I really don’t get what you all are even doing here if you hated HL so much. You’re here to hope it’s totally different from its parent drama ok fine but keep the negativity to yourself, this is primarily a drama for fans of the HL universe and hate to break it to you but there are going to be similarities.

He is one of my favorite actors, he’s incredibly good. I might watch this just for him tbh

I agree; I got the impression she was interested in him, did like him, but it was more of a curiosity. I don't think she intended to just be leading him on but when he actually went to hold her hand it suddenly felt too "real" and she panicked.

Of course it's going to draw HL fans and no not all of them are going to judge how you described, so what's your problem? No one's even rating yet and you're already mad.

Completely disagree that HL is like any other romance, but you do you. And by "as good as" no one is saying it has to be identical to HL in order to be as good as it.
