is that so? i read the first novel 2 yrs ago so i probably have forgotten most of it already but when i watched the series, it looked totally different to me coz the novel scenes i anticipated to see weren't there like the first couple selfie outside the bar and the train scene. while there were several new scenes they added such as the moon and star scene at the beach. tho now when i think of it again, yeah, there were still traces of book 1 in the series and a glimpse of book 2 through the characters of thewpai and ton also that shower scene. but you see the drama turned out to be not as toxic as the books, it's completely toned down. vee became more human his character was far more believable in the drama and mark was tougher.

as far as i can remember, this didn't cover the second novel. in fact, most of the scenes and happenings here weren't in the first novel either.

just because gmmtv is a big company doesn't mean they're not capable of producing a bad series. im not a professional or something but as an avid viewer of their dramas, i noticed this year, most of these series you mentioned started with an interesting premise and good cast but they somehow fell flat towards the middle or end. draggy, full of fan service, product placement, cliches...

not me was the last decent bl drama they've produced

i just don't like the fact that it's gmmtv doing the remake. all their bl dramas have been shit lately so there's a good chance they'll ruin this one too.
