What does everyone think of the plot compared to the Korean version so far? I couldn’t find anywhere to watch…
So ep 1 & 2 has now been uploaded to bilibili unsubbed, I searched using the Thai official title. This is my first impression from someone who literally only knows a couple of basic Thai words but have watched both seasons of Missing: The Other Side.
Nothing much has changed, it is apparent who is who. Tham the fraudster, the uncle who sees the village and the cop who’s fiancé (he has a ring on so I don’t know if he’s married or not) is still alive as of now.
Plotwise, everything is following the original. The ml base seems to have been expanded? with his other 2 companions still there. The village was introduced with all the children, young and old souls lingering in and out of the cafe and garden with the tree. The cafe and its rooms were discovered in ep 2. It is shown once the body is found, the soul disappears in the scene where the cafe owner was sketching and the uncle was placing evidence for the police to find.
I honestly do not remember which person they were focusing on for the first case but I think it was related to a child too.
What changed? Obviously, the inclusion of religion and cultural clothing/identity. I think the Korean version was more westernised. Wherever they filmed the village, it doesn’t look like they were on the outskirt of who knows where. The forest looks dense as opposed to the original village where the location was up on a mountain surrounded by a forest, and the village was right in the middle of it and it appears to be a very big place too.
They seem to like panning the camera angle a lot and using minimal CGI. The editing seems a bit choppy at certain places. The original done a lot better with this here though.
Also, the Korean version had 12 eps running 70 minutes, that’s like an entire 4 episodes missing from this version so I’m expecting things to be cut.
The issue I’m facing is that there isn’t anyone active it seems since last year subbing lakorns. I can’t even google translate it lol.
For anyone who managed to get through this season lol. Qu Tan’ed actually never lost her memory in the book. After the short ish ending thing from season 1 which was actually a whole big arc, they jump years later into the modern era, they were actually finding ways and trying to live life at the same time back to their world. This modern world was cut short in the drama but still follows the book loosely. They did successfully go back to their timeline but this is where things diverge.
I was on chapter 2500/5000 and there was no storyline like the 2nd half of this season. Unless someone corrects me on where it is plotwise, what I think sort of happened was that they might have written an entire new script for the second half based similarly to the first. In the book, they went back to their world, but had to leave to other ‘continents’ to 1. cultivate their skills and 2. they made enemies and was being pulled into every trap they went.
They left their son with both sides of ml and fl clanmen.
There was never a second Mo Liang Cheng or any of this stuff.
For anyone who is actually still watching this lol. I spent a gazillion years going through the last decade comments because I remember someone mentioning about the book. This season follows a couple hundred chapters of the book but the ending bit is actually a whole nother arc. There was a lot more going on to it than what the drama did but yh, they sort of just stuffed that in which made the ending weird.
“Without you, I don’t know how far I’ll drift off to”.
Ep 21 & 22 is like a dream. Where can I find myself a HX and Mr Yu? And the thirdwheelers? Are we ready? 😂 *cough* the virgin man.
This double date was like them going on their actual honeymoon.
Congrats to HX for moving in to her boyfriend’s home! She even got to wear his clothes, eat his cooking, and feed him food with the same chopsticks she was also using. 😍
What does everyone think of the plot compared to the Korean version so far? I couldn’t find anywhere to watch it, much less with eng subs so I was going based off the previews and trailers. It seems ok.
Has anyone managed to read through the entire book? I read up to 2500/5000 chapters and they were still cultivating their skills. The plot went past the 2nd season, modern timeline but reached nowhere near the plot after that. So I have no idea which chapters this season 3 is at.
I was reading to try and gauge out where each season exist in the plot but dropped it because it was so draggy.
I actually quite liked this season. We saw MLC 2.0 last season but get to meet the original *cough* someone here.
It’s a typical revenge romance short drama. The plot was ok, I liked the osts better, the camera work especially whoever did the straight up in your face angle is not liked, the transition of the editing was ok. It’s not bad but not wow either. The casting though is nice.
Avenge or not to avenge? Kill innocent people or not to kill them? The fl planned everything, all for it to fall apart and everyone else sacrificing for her.
Mr Yu went from jealousy, downgraded to a marriage officiant, then suddenly upgraded himself into her boyfriend??
OMG, that hat thrown straight to the camera and that Kiss!! 😍
He shows up in front of her door to see an important person and she straight up slammed it shut because you can’t have unwashed hair for 3 months during the honeymoon phase?? Only to find out she was so nervous she used hand sanitizer and was afraid of going bold?
She even got so emotional asking him whether he would work through it together and not push her away after this ah.
This is perfect, everything we ever wanted.
…
HX is finally catching onto Mr Yu background, idk if he intentionally or unintentionally left that draft behind.
It’s sad to see the bestie going through a divorce but she picked herself right up and rebirthed herself.
Mr Yu has special powers, he can apparently kick through a door with a lock and chains. 😂
HX after being saved: It feels like a murder mystery game, like the haunted house one.
Mr Yu: It’s no time for jokes. I’ve called the ambulance!
I can’t believe this whoever guy has evidence and literally buried it in a cement block for 20 years. This reminds me of those crime cases lol.
Did Jingyi ever play dress up like this the last season? 😂

They bought pastries and flowers to dispel the rumours.
But it ended with Chu Chu in tears and the goldfish, an infection?? 🤔
“I’m not afraid with you here” Wang Ye to his wife… lies. 😭

Snuggles and kisses, dating era activated.
So the draft was left for her intentionally. He said he’ll talk more about it but she fell asleep… until she woke up that is. 😍
Be careful guys, the walls are thin!
The ending is near and this is what makes me so nervous.
Only for it to turn into a trap. Damn.
Moral of the story: Is it really worth it?
