I'm sorry, but that "it's just a silly show based on silly tropes, so it has to be trashy" defense doesn't…
I concur that it’s the writing, Desire’s advantage is that it’s adapted from a proper ABO book, they can rework whatever is already in the plot and add, as opposed to Knot which we all agree looks like some fanfic with the novel written concurrent to the drama’s script btw and in my words, freestyling ABO into the most simplistic basic form of the plot ever. It’s a little disappointing to have to say this.
New billing rules were introduced to avoid fanwars, but they ended up making things worse lol. TXW and YA were…
I was scrolling through rednotes, came across some Reuters, checked the comments to find C-nets very passionately talking about it, I was expecting exciting comments and any melon dates lol, idk, it’s the daily fanwars every drama goes through and it can really make or break actors sometimes
ONE31 definitely hit the jackpot with Ongsa! Where did they even find this incredibly young man with such incredible…
one31 seems to be heavily investing into the BL market lol I just watched a straight lakorn weeks back with them trying to advertise lowkey 1 second of ‘BL’
I completely agree with how they handled the revolution because it's such a real and important topic. I really…
That type of ending is the exact ending I foresee realistically, but really, it also has fiction elements, why not make it a HE if their story is fiction?? 🤣
Anyone managed to catch what show was on the TV in ep 13 around 35 mins? Is that Fu Xin Bo? If so, it would be real fun. 🤣
I concur with the other commenters about how the first case was better than the second. Not only was it bc of the castings but the plot worked overall and the editing was pieced right as the title suggests, flowing better. You could feel the frustrations coming from each characters as the years went by slowly burning as opposed to the second case where they focused a lot on that one murder and timeskipping.
I had mentioned how this feels similar to Born with Luck (forget I ever said it’s more comedic, it’s not lol) but with a universe reversal card, bc none of these people were ever lucky. I think this is why the first case outshines for me the most bc the perp was described as ‘ordinary’, a very ordinary person who just keeps trying to thieve from the same jewellery store and losing his way down that path with no real goal.
I would’ve loved to see more undercover work from Bai Lang. It’s an eye opener when even the KTVs has ads to sell and traffic all this drugs, it’s refreshing to see better than the common prostitution rings and amongst the crime dramas, it’s never used anymore.
I think if the murder case was edited alongside the first as it did technically happen simultaneously like Born with Luck, it would’ve made much more sense to end it where it did and I would personally have paid much more attention to it.
you could literally FEEL the tension once the countdown starts and Phob was struggling on how to move forward with this revolution deceiving his prince.
“No matter what happens, I never wanted to hurt you”. This line hurts the most.
I cried my eyeballs out just to get cliffhangered on the ending 😭😭💀
the cases especially from the middle bits to the ending was what sold this short drama to life. I liked how concise and to the point they filmed with no intro, the short outro and overall, sort of like infinite flow of the cases that’s all connected with each other.
but in saying that, what I hate when it comes to short dramas is how easily they chop the ending up into a S2 continuation to which you will never know when S2 is even going to be made. it happens to every single one of them especially the crime ones and it’s super annoying lol
True to Yuan Hong’s words, Xiao Ye, the dog, looked very lonely and unwilling to cooperate, where did he even ship it off to, after that whole break up?? 🤣
Are people really paying for premium on top of VIP to watch this? I rarely see any other shows with premium content…
depends. for cdrama watchers, IQIYI is the best subscription wise amongst the others and personally, most of the things I watch are on IQIYI whether that’s just cdramas entirely, or the bl ones since they’re the only platform to host them. I watch dramas with the intention to buy the express anyway so it works out when I buy premium from the start than the standard as opposed to others who don’t and have different interests. I suppose some others are the same, it’s not that they are paying more just to watch TPP alone but that they already have it in the first place to watch other things too.
There doesn’t seem to be anyone getting their hands on the uncensored DVD as of yet but I did find this on rednotes, the first LWZ helping PS clean his dish scene that everyone was disappointed on being cut.
I really loved first episode and I can only watch on YouTube so the English subtitles made me laugh, the FL’s…
it’s the exact same translation format as any other verticals, I seriously have no idea why they decided to name everyone western for a short drama, the last bilibili drama, You have my Heart didn’t do this so perhaps it’s the channel?? 🤣
I’m trying real hard not to cringe at how awful these names are, they could’ve at least picked more common royal names
there was barely any mentions of how well the actress playing Li Lejun was in the comments when her character started becoming grey as she’s among one of the famous short verticals leading actresses, I admit, I really did almost forgot about her bc of HMH and AiMi. 🤣
she went from fl to 2nd fl now in a full length drama, it’s great to see how versatile her roles are from the classic common reborn characters to morally gray ones.
It took me a couple rewinds to get why he smelt like sweet chili. These people names need a better system
Niether the less, the reuters are absolutely amazing, and hope it’s coming real soon.

This was the only full snippet cut I could find. Maybe y’all might have something better in your circle.
