filler episode but still had a purpose... primarily to show SW's school life, his friends and his support system which motivates Tian to take the decision he does at the time of separation
so my hypothesis on why we got this filler episode is that they wanted to show us that Sheng Wang fits in and has a solid support group, friends etc now..
