I doubt there is a parallel universe for two reasons

these characters are set in the same universe as her other BL characters... and all of them are going through a very normal earth life and it is a romantic story of chase and woo. This drama cannot be any different.

it is 8 ep. per couple with focus on that couple... vs we are situation where he was handling so many couples or even fourever...
