I think Perth and Santa have both done an incredible job bringing their characters to life. Santa’s portrayal…
correct.. it is the character itself which most people won't like...
it is like japanese comedy.. difficult to get used to to overthe top cute characters...
but the STRONG chemistry and the fact that Perth's acting is shining is palpable shows how much he is bouncing off off his partner... the synergy between the 2 actors is speaking for itself... all ingredients are there, it is just a matter of right script and right characters for this ship to make it big
if it is about acting skills then i'm afraid Dunk will never be safe
THK - thank the director.. it is to his credit that he is showcasing Dunk in a manner where his sstyle of "acting" is working.. but it is ample clear even in THK that Dunk is NOT a strong actor....infact people who are getting riled are getting riled because of him in THK (although i wouls say he suits the role... kinda like reply 1988 FL wherein despite lack of acting talent, with right direction, actor shines in his / her role.
In acting talent there is no present work vs older work... either you have the talent or you don't. Dunk is someone who needs to work hard to play a character. Acting is not his innate talent. That is the fact well established.
and in PL.. it is again the director who is creating these comedic moments and the way he wants to... otherwise the actors given to him are really good... although personally comedy is not Santa's suit
