Title Love Has Fireworks Spoiler
I ended up enjoying Love Has Fireworks much more than I expected.

I originally started watching it because I had previously enjoyed Wang Chu Ran in *How Dare You!?* and Tan Jian Ci in *Filter*. They didn't disappoint here either. Their chemistry felt natural, and I really liked how their relationship developed gradually instead of relying on unnecessary misunderstandings.

Qian Fei was one of the strongest modern female leads I've watched recently. She was hardworking, capable, financially responsible, and genuinely good at almost everything she did without feeling unrealistic. After being betrayed by her fiancé, she didn't let her life fall apart. Instead, she rebuilt it step by step, becoming even more confident in both her career and personal life.

Li Yi Fei was the perfect opposite. Although he came from a wealthy family, he wasn't portrayed as an arrogant CEO. He was funny, generous, sometimes immature, and surprisingly supportive. I especially loved how he always encouraged Qian Fei to grow professionally instead of feeling threatened by her success. Watching both of them influence each other and become better people was one of my favorite parts of the drama.

Wang Ruo Hai was easily one of the most frustrating characters. His excuses for leaving Qian Fei never matched his actions, and he constantly blamed others instead of taking responsibility. It made Qian Fei's new relationship feel even more satisfying.

The supporting couples were another pleasant surprise. I enjoyed Yao Jing Jing and Lu Ze's relationship, especially because their conflicts were resolved with honesty instead of endless misunderstandings. Dang Yu and Jun Cheng also had one of the most entertaining character developments in the drama.

The ending was sweet and exactly what I hoped for. The proposal scene was simple, heartfelt, and perfectly suited the couple.

This isn't a drama filled with complicated mysteries or heavy political intrigue. It's a warm, funny, and comforting story about healing after heartbreak, growing together, and finding someone who helps you become the best version of yourself. If you're looking for an enjoyable modern romance with lovable characters and satisfying development, I definitely recommend it.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
I genuinely loved The First Jasmine from beginning to end.

What impressed me most was that this drama never relied solely on romance to carry the story. It was a beautiful balance of political intrigue, strategy, character development, and emotional healing. Every major character had understandable motivations, even when I completely disagreed with their choices.

Ye Li became one of my favorite female leads. She was intelligent, resilient, compassionate, and never stopped growing throughout the story. Watching her overcome the trauma of Lishan Academy without losing her kindness was far more rewarding than watching her take revenge. Mo Xiuyao's love for her was equally memorable—not because it was passionate or dramatic, but because it was built on trust, patience, and quiet support. They didn't just love each other; they helped each other heal.

I also appreciated that the drama treated its antagonists with nuance. The Grand Empress Dowager committed unforgivable crimes, yet the story still explored how power, ambition, and the limitations placed on women shaped her into the person she became. Understanding her never meant forgiving her, and I liked that the drama respected that distinction.

Mo Jingli's ending was tragic in a different way. He had countless opportunities to choose another path, yet his obsession with the throne ultimately destroyed everything around him. His story was a reminder that revenge and ambition can consume a person long before they lose their life.

The final episode gave satisfying conclusions to almost every important character. I was especially happy to see Han Mingxi survive, Li Feibai receive hope instead of despair, and Lishan Academy open its doors once again. The final scene, where Ye Li saw her grandfather and her fallen seniors one last time before walking forward with Xiuyao, was incredibly touching. Her grandfather's words, "Your path isn't behind you. It stretches out before you," perfectly captured the heart of the entire drama.

This wasn't just a story about revenge or court politics. It was a story about choosing compassion over hatred, healing instead of living in the past, and continuing to move forward despite unbearable loss. I'll definitely remember this drama for a very long time.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
Episode 34 was heartbreaking from beginning to end.

Watching Ye Li finally remember what really happened at Lishan Academy was devastating. Finding the bodies of all 47 members, carrying them across the bridge one by one, digging their graves, writing their memorial tablets, and even preparing a grave for herself... no wonder her mind created a different reality to survive. The moment she broke down at her grandfather's grave while Xiuyao quietly held her was one of the most emotional scenes in the drama so far. For the first time, she no longer had to carry her grief alone.

I also appreciated that the Grand Empress Dowager wasn't written as a one-dimensional villain. Learning about her past helped explain how she became the person she is today, even though nothing can justify the countless innocent lives sacrificed for her ambition.

While Ye Li is finally beginning to heal, Mo Jingli is quietly setting the stage for the next disaster. His schemes in the background feel just as dangerous as any battlefield, and I have a feeling the real storm is only beginning. With the political balance shifting and the Emperor finally taking control, the story has reached a major turning point, and I'm excited to see what comes next.

I still believe lingyun died just like that..
No worries! 😄 It actually gave me a good laugh once you explained the typo.

And I completely agree. I would have loved to see Lingyun become Ye Li's friend and ally. They both have such strong personalities, and I think they would have made an incredible team. It's such a missed opportunity.

I still believe lingyun died just like that..
Haha, that one missing word completely changed the meaning! 😂 I was so confused at first.

I'm glad I'm not the only one still hoping Lingyun somehow survived. Their story felt far too unfinished to end like that. And I wouldn't complain if she came back just in time to deal with SZD either. 😄

You might be right. I'm probably just being optimistic because I really like Feng Zhiyao and want him to have a happy ending. 😄

Worst case the ED gets sent to copy scriptures at a nunnery. Mothers of emperors don't get executed but maybe…
You actually make some really good points. I hadn't considered that Mo Jingli's alliance with Cangbei would probably disqualify him from ever claiming the throne, and you're right that history rarely lets an Emperor execute his own mother. Sending the Grand Empress Dowager into seclusion would be a much more realistic outcome.

As for Feng Zhiyao, I admit I'm probably letting my emotions influence my prediction. 😄 I just want him to have some happiness after everything he's been through. You're probably right that his trip is mainly meant to move the political plot forward, but I'm still going to hold on to a tiny bit of hope until the drama proves me wrong.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
The doctor's words about how losing someone you love deeply can lead to hallucinations really hit me throughout this episode. By the end, it became painfully clear why Ye Li's mind had chosen that way to protect itself. Her seniors locked her away so she wouldn't have to witness everything, and then they died one after another. It's heartbreaking to realize how much she has been carrying alone.

What has kept Ye Li going all this time is her promise to Xiuyao's brother, her determination to find the imperial decree and clear her mother's name, and her desire to take revenge on everyone responsible for this tragedy. Without those goals, I don't know how she could have endured.

I still believe the Grand Empress Dowager's downfall will ultimately come through the Emperor. He may not execute his own mother, but I can definitely imagine him stripping her of political power and forcing her into retirement.

I also think Mo Jingli will eventually step forward to claim the throne. While what happened to his family and the way he was suppressed were undeniably unjust, I don't believe he would be a better ruler than the current Emperor. His manipulative schemes behind the scenes have shown that he isn't driven by justice either, so replacing one power-hungry figure with another wouldn't solve anything.

Finally, Feng Zhiyao's visit to the desert gave me hope that Princess Lingyun might still be alive. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but the scene felt intentionally placed. Feng Zhiyao is such a lovable character, and after everything he's been through, I really hope he and Lingyun get the happy ending they deserve.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
Exactly, because at ep 33 preview they set up an investigation team, questioning someone who hasn't touched reality…
I completely agree. Trauma isn't something you can force out of someone through interrogation. The more they pressure Ye Li, the more she'll shut down. What she needs isn't suspicion or accusations—it's someone she can truly trust.

I also think Xiuyao is the only one who has a real chance of helping her remember and accept the truth. Now that he finally understands what she has been carrying all this time, he can approach her with patience instead of force. Healing doesn't happen overnight, but at least she's no longer completely alone.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
After everything Ye Li has been through, I think the first step toward healing will be facing the truth with the person she loves by her side. She still can't accept the deaths of her grandfather, her seniors from Lishan Academy, and Qingshuang, so she can't even bring herself to make the official report.

That shameless eunuch is completely out of touch with reality. He lives comfortably in the palace as the Grand Empress Dowager's loyal lapdog, barely does any real work, and assumes everyone outside survives just as easily as he does. Instead of believing people could actually die, he insists they must have escaped. What exactly were all those soldiers doing if every entrance and exit was sealed? Are they really going to interrogate Ye Li simply because everyone else died while she survived? If they actually go that route, I'll be beyond frustrated. The hypocrisy is unbearable.

Xiuyao, on the other hand, surprised me. His sincere regret and the way he stopped trying to change Ye Li and instead chose to understand and support her completely won me over. Ye Li has been carrying so much pain alone that all I wanted was for someone to stand beside her.

Now I'm desperately waiting for someone to finally put the Grand Empress Dowager in her place. The Emperor may be young, but he's shown that he's thoughtful and capable. I think the biggest reason he couldn't oppose his mother before was Marquis Muyang, who silenced and eliminated anyone in her way. Now that Muyang is gone, I'm hoping the Emperor will finally stand up to her.

it's been raining cats and dogs where I live. raining for months, almost never-ending. The weather is so eerie…
How magical! As a rain lover, I dream of living where it never ends. The sound, the smell—oh, I’ve missed it so much. Your comment brought that longing back to life."

I'm really looking forward to Legend of the Female General, which will premiere on August 6. I've watched several dramas featuring Zhou Ye and Ryan Cheng before and have become a fan of both. I believe their chemistry will be amazing in this series. The plot sounds exciting, and there are also many supporting actors and actresses I really like. I can’t wait to watch it!
