I agree but I feel that it's a bit different .. she never crosses the line and knows when sun rok is not comfortable .. she analyzes then attacks but for the sml , I felt annoyed by his character too .. yumi gave so many hints that she's not interested but he still insisted but I feel the ml is conflicted himself so he has never given the hint that he is not interested which made the fl to pursue him more ( she does it subtlety ) I feel that's the difference ( speaking after completing ep 5 .. not sure abt 6 )
the whole palace and royal thingseems like they are playing house without any adultseverything feels so manufactured…
When there is a state , the monarchy becomes an empty shell which just has a title ( and a powerful one for the people ) but the country are always controlled by the state And again since it's palace , kings , queens blah blah so many rules and traditions follow
Queen Mother is so dumb, I-AN already tricked her, made some threads in the middle of a ball room and got his…
I feel that yi an was serious abt cancelling the wedding cuz he was scared that his mothers tragedy might repeat again but after hui yu confronted him and told him how to actually protect someone , that's when he made up his mind and didn't run away
EDIT 2 - Thank you especially to those who said that it gets better from Ep 3. YOU WERE RIGHT! I saw it and now…
ofc .. not everyone likes this genre or this type of cliche romance im a sucker for it but I would say that the storyline is very unique so its keeping most of us here but the progress is somewhat is a little lacking too I feel that there could be a lot more emphasis on hui ju's life ( her relation with her bro and father ) also her brothers character improvement ( HE HAS SCOPE !!) but again .. this is your typical romcom and iu acting is good but her acting in hotel del luna really shows how well she can pull off that bossy image but I can't see that much here .. but at same time , she is shown to be strong on outside but still lil immature so we can't argue on that
you should watch the kdrama ' if wishes could kill ' , it keeps you on your toes ! its thriller -horror
I canโt hate her coz Iโm loving the actress too much ๐ญ
I would say that she herself doesn't know what she's doing is it for the crown or if she has some lingering feelings for yi an cuz def she didn't like hui ju from the first moment the scandal was exposed and she's tried every way to make her feel little so I feel she's a complicated character by heart since she has gotten everything since young ( except yi an ) so she's sour and she hates the prev king
But I would say the first few epi had a bit more gruesome scenes but it was more thriller horror type not your typical scary ghost you can see lots of blood but there isn't a scene which is frightening as such but def keeps you on your toes
lol while everyone is caught up in palace intrigue and shenanigans who the heck is actually running the country?
its run by the government .. I think it was mentioned in ep 1 that the rule is now smth like monarchy + government run ( idk the actual way to say it but i hope u get it ) wait yes ... constitutional monarchy !
the job of the king is done by queen dowager and yi an
wow this is by far def my fav season and fav ML ( from yumi cells ) I think i found my type watching this haha ๐ sun rok is so cute .. he fits the character perfectly
but I feel the ml is conflicted himself so he has never given the hint that he is not interested which made the fl to pursue him more ( she does it subtlety )

someone finds the draft and boom ! everything exposed
but the country are always controlled by the state
And again since it's palace , kings , queens blah blah
so many rules and traditions follow
japan wld be the perfect example

why is queen mother against the marriage so much ? what impact will it have on her ?
it must've taken quite the effort to make it !
im a sucker for it
