the drama was average but def not 6.8 it was better than that i would rate it 7.5-7.7 around ( high mostly cuz of the acting and styling ) the ending was lame imo ... there is better endings than just suddenly killing off the whole cast honestly the storyline was good but there cld be a lot more things done to make it even better .. i felt the storyline was unique ( republican era has a unique charm and with the face cards , it's even more insane ) honestly I feel that it's only because of the acting and good looking cast , this drama was able to do decent .. I wouldn't care much abt the ai opening since they were quick to correct their mistakes so leaving that aside , some of the drama angles were over the place but quality wise ... it wasn't bad.... didn't look too high production drama but they killed it with the makeup and styling ( even if it wasn't too accurate .. it's a idol drama anyways ) I kinda still expected more considering the hype around it and ZLH's popularity after POJ but the production quality wasn't the actors fault .. they did amazing irrespectively
the relationship between the leads was toxic and even though I wanted them to have a happy ending , with everything susu wen't through , it wouldn't be easy to forgive but qingyi was stupid enough to never even ask abt ren susu for the 7 year they were apart ( when she had the kid ) If he actually loved her then he wld atleast inquire abt her and find out her situation and I don't blame ren susu for not telling him that she was pregnant .. he clearly said he hated her so the safest thing for susu was to hide the truth
WTF was that ending? The last two episodes were just about killing off every single character. Did the writer have a rage fit and decide to kill everyone off?
guys is it only me or the 2nd ml looks much younger and actually looks like a high schooler the ml looks too old to pay this role and call me bias or whatever .. the 2nd ml looks so much better playing the ml
I personally find the 2ml to be more attractive than ml i hv nothing against the ml but just don't find his acting impressive
the lack of communication between the couple is killing me Like they act like strangers .. they don't even seem married like whatever issues they have , there's gotta be some rhythm in the way they act in front of each other since they have been married for years I honestly don't see the love in either of them .. like bro risked his entire life to save his wife but can't even act like that in front of her
This was an amazing drama and you know it's amazing when you feel that emptiness in ur heart once it finishes but there are so many questions left to be answered , I wanted to know what happened to xihe's sister and her dad .. did he recover ? I honestly hoped the drama wld lean a bit towards the soul exchange part since it was the start of it all .. and also I feel really bad for 5 th prince , his love was more like obsession of his late wife but it hurt me to see him die like that , he was pretty smart and reminded me of tantaijin but honestly the way he tried to help FL was sick and terrible , killing innocent ppl for just helping fl secure her footing is just pathetic to me but luckily he confirmed that xihe was his late wife
I didn't like that huayong's reaction to finding out he wasn't his father's son was absent cuz literally the whole drama was around that .. I think we deserved his reaction to finding out that and ofc - how was he saved ?? and why was the physician is such a bad condition ( worse than huayong ) - they def went through smth ..... overall I loved the drama so much , heyu's acting was amazing im a bit skeptical abt meng ziyi's acting since her expressions in the first half were stiff ( even though the role required that ) I still felt it lacking somehow her expressions were best in last few episodes like when 5 th prince was dying in her arms , you cld feel the hate , forgiveness , pity and sadness all in her eyes This drama deserved more episodes but it was one of the best one's i've seen this year .. there wasn't a single boring episode and I love that
