On one hand, the bizarre non-kiss kisses are annoying and stupid, but on the other hand, they made me laugh out loud; whether more at Mashiro and Kanade as characters or the continued terror the makers of this BL have of gay lovemaking, I do not know. :)
That they are laying on top of each other, presumably naked (am I supposed to disguise the word "n***d" for the tender flowers here?), yet appear to be stiff as wood planks (bodies, not schlongs), and with dispassionate expressions on their faces, is absurd but also funny. All I know is I laughed in both places. Mashiro looked as if he were floating like a sheet of plywood above Kanade, with two inches of space between them. lol
I was amazed when Kanade put his arms around Mashiro. Coming from these two, that is an expression of hardcore passion. :D It's interesting that this show is so restrained in its portrayal of sex. I recall some good JP BLs with wild sex scenes.
The actress playing Mashiro's mom is good. She portrays a wide range of emotions, most of them disturbing, with very little movement of her face. It's all there in her eyes.
Overall, given all that went down, this episode was a tad boring somehow.
