lol thank you for your concern and your feelings of sorrow on my behalf. I appreciate it. you are correct, I never like any shows I see, well except for the hundreds of shows on my custom lists that I ranked highly and recommend to others, including all the ones I ranked highly in my completed list. but yeah, other than those hundreds of films and dramas, I don't like anything I watch and I live to leave negative comments. thank you for making me feel recognized and validated. thank you for quoting part of my comment. however, there is nothing there that says anything about anyone's sexuality, as far as being gay, bi, straight, or anything else. furthermore, attributing certain qualities to a specific group, in this case "fangirls," is not the same as attributing those qualities to all girls and women everywhere, unless you believe that all girls and women everywhere are fangirls, in which case that's your own reality and I don't know anything about it. with sensitivities as delicate as yours, I hope you are ready for a life of discomfort because the world and other people do not owe you a day-to-day existence of never being offended by anything. your thought and comment police act is lame. oh dear, was that offensive?

ummm, I clearly stated that I dropped it in the first episode about 40 minutes in. try reading before responding. no way was I going to sit through hours of this.

hahaha... your entire comment boils down to "yes, I know this show sucks and here are a lot of the reasons why, but damn it, I love it anyway and I am upset that you dared to share your opinion with which I do not agree." and then you proceeded to put about 5000 words in my mouth I never wrote and then respond to them. have fun talking back to yourself.

by about 40 minutes into episode one, my eyeballs got stuck in my forehead from rolling them so frequently so I thought it best to drop out at that point. it was more than clear what this show is like and about. enjoy the watch!

"well haters going to hate on anything" this is such a deep and original thought that I am simply left stunned and without the ability to respond. you are a goddess or God or whatever and what are you two all hung up about being lesbians in regard to this? I said nothing about anyone's sexuality. LOL

you seem to be using the word "biased"to mean that I am predisposed to feel the way that I feel and not the way that you feel or someone else feels, and to express my feeling. in which case, then yes just like everyone else I am biased. note: nowhere in my statement did I use the word "straight."

this show was made for the Bad Buddy/Kinn Porsche crowd, those who found those shows to be great masterpieces. Anyone with adult standards for film and drama beyond the age of 15 will read this show for the juvenile, badly acted / produce / directed production that it is. the biggest problem of all, well besides the silly story and the attempts of these 20 year old actors to portray characters with the life experience of a 35-year-old, is that its overall vibe is that of a Disney after school special made for bad kids. or maybe a high School production. I laughed out loud when a doctor and a resident or whatever at the hospital, two different characters who in real life would have to be at least 35 to be in their positions given the years of study and training after that required by the medical profession, showed up on screen pretending to be people they could not possibly be in real life. it feels like Halloween and watching little kids dressed up like doctors and gangsters come to my door for candy. what a joke.

as always, it is no surprise that this show is wildly overrated here at mdl. the gasping, breathless fangirls, who have no standards and who see gay men as stuffed, adorable little creatures, to get all fujoshi-wet over. who don't believe in their hearts that gay men actually have deep romantic, sexual feelings, all Rush to over rate shows like this after the first 20 minutes. I see one notorious commenter above wetting herself over the awesomeness of the show, who is well-known for the same behavior regarding other such productions. lol same old, same old here at mdl.

to anyone with adult requirements for your entertainment enjoyment, you can skip this one. it is absolutely juvenile, silly, high School level laughable in every way. it is the type of bl you would never want anyone outside your BL circle of Friends to know you were watching. :)

where did I ask you to "give the character a pass?" you still don't get it. do you ever watch murder mysteries? do you give the murderer a pass for having murdered someone? if someone lies do you have to give them a pass or you stop watching the movie? I tried to watch this show and found it juvenile and stupid, even though it tries to be dark in tone. that characters behaviors in the past and present regarding killing people and having people raped, etc, is what makes his character dark and repugnant. this is a classic type of character out of Chinese BL writing. I don't know why you're all excited about it. move on. I see comments like yours as performative displays of self-righteousness, nothing more.

my bet is the author doesn't feel that way at all, she is just saying so to please the public now that her novel has become a drama and all the drama queens are freaking out about rape and other transgressive issues in the script because that's what snowflakes do. she doesn't regret what she wrote at all. LOL

bad things happen in life. rape is one of the bad things that happens, just as murder is one of the bad things that happens in a murder mystery. please grow up sometime or stop watching shows that are beyond your capacity to understand as a story on a screen and not the tale of someone you live next door to.

Grow up. The world isn't black/white, All or nothing. I watch movies that are extremely sad or tragic, I watch movies that are hilarious and fun and uplifting, and I watch movies of every type in between those two.

are you saying that films and series that present realities you don't care to acknowledge, should not be watched by you or anyone else? ridiculous. some of the best films ever made are hard to watch because of the subject matter and the way it is presented. I haven't watched this yet but your review makes me all the more eager to see it. movies and dramas do not exist just to make us happy happy all the time.

I had no idea going in that this was partly a musical. thus, I was sort of shocked when the singing started, but I love the way the singing was blended into the conversations at times especially in the swimming pool scene at night, which was beautifully done both visually and emotionally.

the best acting in this thing takes place during the songs. during that pool scene I was all goosebumpy and :-).

there were some weak spots otherwise, but nothing that detracts from how original and overall successful and daring this was as a BL short film. the dunces below who fast forwarded through the songs, missed the most important parts. why would you even do that instead of just dropping the show?

this is one of the most original BL short films ever made. you will have to watch to discover why. it is far from perfect but its charms and successes for outweigh it's weaknesses. it is worth the watch for the night time indoor pool scene alone. very moving. the way the singing was integrated right into conversation was wonderful.

highly recommended!
