I get what you're saying, I have dropped almost all Japanese BLs that I try to watch in the past and I've never…
ugh. The Chinese don't make BLs. I totally do not understand the concept of watching a show that sublimates the very relationship it is focused on. I find it bizarre. Your mileage may vary.

It is WAY-dark and WAY awesome. However, even a supposedly "dark" show is not one hundred percent black. There have been quite a few moments of humor and sweetness. But if you want lukewarm, yeah, avoid it. I don't remember Not Me, but I'm sure I've seen it. I will review.
Are you talking about the Thai series "Not Me?" lol I dropped that thing fast.
I would like to add, in response to some discussions below, that I would very much like for MDL to do away with…
Bravo! Lots of prudish young American girls, who dominate the MDL demographic, will down-rate this show without watching much or any of it, once they get wind of what its plot entails. MDL ratings are a joke.
Well... this show is sure dark afI Hope the child actors are not traumatized from those scenes
There are many ways of producing those scenes without exposing the kids to anything. In fact, I believe in the U.S., it is illegal to put child actors in what appear to be adult, sexual situations. If you pay close attention, you'll see how such scenes are made without the kid even knowing what the scene is about.
This is too much, but i can’t stop watching it😰 hope the young actor for Haoren get’s a therapy after they…
The film industry long ago developed techniques that make you believe you're seeing a child in a really dark, sexual situation, but you aren't. The CHARACTER is, in the universe of the show, but using camera angles, multiple takes, body doubles, dubbing, and other tricks, most directors know how to make a scene look horribly twised without exposing the young actor to anything untoward.
I don't understand this desperate attempt from specifically western audiences to separate BL from LGBT media when…
BRAVO! I'm Western but totally agree with you. That said, how do you know the ones arguing haughtily about "genres" are Western? What am I saying...? I'm sure you're right. Senza below is undoubtedly a 21-year-old, female, American college student who thinks she knows it all.
Educate yourself: Many studies have shown that trigger warnings are mostly useless, and can at times actually INCREASE harm. They also have the unintended effect of drawing in vulnerable folks who otherwise might have skipped watching. Google it.
I realize you wanted to be the first to signal your virtue by shrieking "trigger warning!" but you're not helping.

Nah, I looked again and you definitely are.
Did you know that the meaning of words evolve over time...? It's true!
