Ahhh...poor Lily Malice is mad that the bogus "tax controversy" she and her fellow vampire members of the Korean Celebrity Suicide Machine have been trying to make into a thing didn't prevent Netflix from releasing the drama. Suck it, LM!
And bravo, Netflix! Nice to see you find your balls and not bow to the psycho Korean press and fake celeb "controversies." NF is sick of this stupidity and is drawing a line. Given past BS problems caused by Korean celebrity-killing culture, I'm sure NF is thinking twice and three times now before signing on to finance and carry Korean content.
I haven't watched this, waiting for it to end before I do, but if you look at the tags it tells you there, Stepbrothers'…
In truth, I would love to see a BL featuring a couple who are at least half-blood brothers. It would be delightfully transgressive. :D And as an added plus, it would freak out the MDL Church Ladies,
Ep. 1 Bathtub boner! I lol'd. Both actors are easy on the eyes, the accessible, familiar kind of good-looking. And no nose jobs (that I can see, anyway). Visually, they're perfect for each other.
Ep. 2 Those sex noises! More lols. The little guy is far prettier than that shameless slut who came by to "study." I hate her.
Ep. 3 More sex noises! More lols. :D When big bro went back to his bedroom, and the skank lay silent with eyes closed, I hoped she was dead.
This is actually good, for a Chinese, low-budget BL. Is this another one, made outside the country to get around their psycho gay ban?
Damn. I've been waiting months for another decent Korean BL to come along, and...this...is what I get?
You know, the psychotic Korean plastic surgery epidemic is sad and exhausting. So tired of seeing Michael Jackson's last nose on young actors and idols who were no doubt great looking before some hack chopped up their schnoz. What's most amazing is that, even after millions of nose jobs, Korean surgeons apparently still haven't figured out how to construct a natural-looking honker. They all look the f**king same, a generation of android mannequin clones. Weird.
I'm keenly aware of this right now because it was only a few months ago that I saw Kpopper Lee Taemin had chopped off more of his nose. All that's left is a little button.
The upside of all this is the entertainment to be had from watching actors/idols and their delulu fans pretending they didn't have work done. lol
This is one of those flicks that unabashedly blare their awfulness in the first five minutes. For the sake of Joo Jin Mo, one of my fave Korean actors, I held out for four more, but it was already torture. Judging from the pseudo bed scene in those few minutes, I won't get to see JJM naked either, so it's all for the best.
Oh, look! Another day, another bogus "controversy" manufactured by Lily Malice and her kind. One has to love that Lily's article is a manufactured controversy about allegedly manufactured hype, coming from reliably insane Cnetz, a group second only to Knetz in their proximity to Satan.
I won't be watching, as I'm a movie fan and not a follower of dramas, but I hope Pursuit of Jade succeeds like no other drama before it, just to piss off Lily Malice and the other lying vultures in the Chinese/Korean Celebrity Suicide Machine.
JWS and LJJ are at their peak of physical beauty here. Though performed as comedy, LJJ's solo mirror dance at the gym is fire. Wow. :P
Sadly, their characters can't see that the answer to everything is to stop pretending and go gay for each other. They are beyond in love. :)
The film's chief weakness is the FL's lack of affect. Beauty only goes so far on screen, and here it doesn't go nearly far enough. Besides that problem are several plot weaknesses I didn't catch the first time I saw this.
Damn. I wish you'd have left up your comments to this self-righteous blowhard. People like him need push-back. They drive folks away from JC and all he taught and lived. This dude's arrogant hatefulness is the opposite of Christ-like.
Remember, Jesus was "rude" on occasion to people who had it coming. Pharisees, Saducees, random false prophets, money-changers, etc.; all were lashed by his words. I think JC would rudely take issue with someone preaching prejudice, ostracism, and ignorance, using His name as cover.
Bravo, Netflix!

Markson can be a bit of a douche...or is it just me?
Damn.

OK, back to the plot. Terrible so far.
Chu Meng Hsuan is especially good in the wonderfully odd "The Time of Huannan."
Looking forward to this.

Truly a turkey.
Dropped.

Though you made it clear several replies ago, I want to state for the record that U R A moron.
Now, isn't there a Bible somewhere you should be jerking off to?

I'll revise down from 9.5/10 to 9/10.
You're unworthy of illegal immigrant trans women.
