Loving this series so far. I honestly feel like it deserves a higher rating—it’s pretty underrated. The plot may be a little tropey, but the characters and situations feel surprisingly relatable and realistic, like this could actually happen. It’s funny, entertaining, and has somehow become something I look forward to watching every day.❤️
I do feel a little sorry for the ML, though. 😂 The FL is very feisty—acerbic, scathing, and occasionally just plain rude, which might be the more accurate description of her character flaw. She rarely says thank you or sorry to the poor guy! Maybe it’s some kind of defense mechanism stemming from her abandonment issues, but still… poor ML. Haha. I guess it’s all part of the story, and it certainly makes things interesting!
Loving the leads’ chemistry so far! This drama is already looking like it could join my modern CDrama faves, alongside Love Between Lines, Hidden Love, and The First Frost.
I liked Fake It Till You Make It too, but somehow I’m enjoying this one even more (perhaps because there’s considerably less finance jargon to survive😂).
🔥🔥🔥WOW! I’m blown away! Episode 26 lights the fuse and lets everything explode! Every narrative firebomb planted earlier finally and literally detonates: fiery, spicy, and gloriously cutting all the way through. My favorite episode so far, hands down. 🙌
Every explosion on screen? Just a warm-up for the biggest mind-blowing firebomb revelation in Mrs. Fan’s head. And that look when she realizes her husband is the Marquis? Epic firebomb ☄️ haha. We await that slap from Mrs. Fan… and I suspect it’ll be well worth it. 😂
Hats off to Tian Xiwei 👏 —absolutely love her acting chops in this drama. She’s been consistently excellent in every single episode, and it really feels like this role was made for her. Even her fight scenes never look awkward; she wields knives, executes martial arts moves, and even carries pigs, all so naturally.
The ML does jealousy without theatrics—restrained scowls, never overplayed, yet they land every time. Credit where it’s due—Chen Xing Xu. I love it. Gets me every time! 😍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Straight A’s across the board so far—cast, story, direction, production, fashion, and OST. The high production value and well-thought-out details are evident in every scene.
The opening and end credits are a visual-audio delight, with an end-credit song I never skip.
ML is dangerously hot with saintly looks. His micro-expressions do all the talking. Appreciate his subtle acting style. FL has the kind of beauty that never wears thin — she gets prettier every single time. Really enjoying her character and the vibes she gives off. Love her defiant competitive streak. I also love that she’s no starry-eyed admirer putting the ML on a pedestal—she doesn’t objectify him, but sees and respects him in a way that makes their connection feel real.
Lastly, props to the fashion stylist for the chic, tasteful, and thoughtfully curated wardrobe.
Eagerly (and excruciatingly) counting down to the next episodes —hoping it sustains this momentum and ends strong. 🙌
