This is totally random, but I can’t believe they’re both 31. They look so young for their age especially Ding Yu Xi. In certain scenes I was like this man only looks maybe 20/21 years old. Lol. I’m on episode 20 though and dreading how this could possibly end.

The series flickered and messed up in a lot of places for me. I don’t know if it was an issue with the playback or recording or what.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that does not like his mom. She doesn’t seem very “motherly” to me and only 30 minutes in, I got so sick and tired of hearing her tell him that he needs to learn his place and that they’re the masters and they’re the servants. That’s all she kept repeating. Aside from her knowing there’s more to his feelings, shouldn’t she want more for him in life instead of just accepting what her mother was and her and now him? He’s doing good in school and he’s been told that he has potential to become more. Why can’t she support that? Unless she’s ashamed for them paying his tuition or something and taking things from them? I’ve probably called her a B word like five times already. LOL!

It was the only selfless thing she did but I still felt it was a little too late after everything she did and not towards the person she owed it to. Jin Lun was so kind to her and didn’t care about how cold and ruthless she was. I’m glad he chose his own path in the end but he had to learn the hard way. Just hated seeing him suffer almost the whole series and wished he would’ve realized it sooner. Oh well.

I’m not surprised it was Victor‘s character because he always seems to play the villain more than a good guy. Is it sad this makes me a little disappointed? Lol!

They do! I would assume you could get it if your device/TV is running like the newer version. It’s super nice to have that option now. If only I could get it to stay on 1080p now instead of having to constantly switch it when I’m a VIP and it should automatically stay on that. Lol. Oh well, the intro skip is enough for me. I did submit feedback at one point saying that I wished the iQIYI app on Roku were more like the iQIYI app on Amazon Fire Stick and it seems they’re making more improvements. Hopefully it’ll keep getting better. Now if only WeTV would get an app on TV or a streaming device so I didn’t have to watch on my iPad.

I’m a little biased because I’ve loved everything I’ve seen Riley Wang in so far so I feel extremely sad for his character Jin Lun in this. He deserves so much better. I do not like A Sheng at all. I was happy when Xin Mei smacked her for doing what she did!

Yes! I have this issue all the time with the fast forward and rewind thing as far as the subtitles not matching up. It drives me insane. I’ve complained about it to iQIYI but it’s done no good. Thankfully, I’m hoping some of that won’t be an issue now that you can skip the intro in the Roku iQIYI app. I had that issue a lot when I would fast forward the intro which I’d regret because then the subtitles would be behind.

I didn’t go far back in the comments, but what were they thinking with Xiao Shun Yao’s makeup? Were they trying to contour his nose or what because it’s like orange/brown and stands out so much. His eyelashes look pretty though. Lol. Random thoughts while watching. Ren looks great as always.

Lol! I wish I could suddenly understand Thai. You would think I would understand so much after watching for like two years. I had to delete the app again and re-download it and they finally worked. I have this issue way too often with the app and it gets extremely frustrating. I was finally able to watch it about two hours later after I left this comment. It was a very good episode! I can’t believe the series is almost over!

I’m so jealous. I can’t even watch this episode right now! I use the iQIYI app on Roku and I’ve restarted this streaming device three times and the app itself and removed it and re-downloaded it and there’s no subtitles. 😭 I just want to watch my Friday shows.

I don’t know why, but I’m super fascinated about this one. OK, I lied. It’s because he’s a demon.

Just finished the series and I find the last 10 minutes absolutely unnecessary as it had me crying my eyes out. I don’t like that we didn’t get to see them actually reunite in the end either. As we got down to the last couple of episodes, I had a feeling that one of them might possibly die, but I didn’t think both would. 😭

Everyone throughout the series talking about how Jiang Li seems like a different person and has a different temperament. SHE WAS FREAKING 8 YEARS OLD WHEN SHE WAS SENT AWAY! She’s an adult now she’s a stranger to everyone who knew her when she was a CHILD as people grow up and change. This one part of the story just drives me crazy as everyone feels like she should still be her eight year-old self.

So happy to see Fluke again!
