I'm watching it because I read the manga. The series is way more tamed and toned down. That said, she's sooooo stupidly passive! I'm like, "Really, girl?" She closes her eyes and squirms when some guy is trying to kiss her instead of pushing them away. Oh, jeez! Eye roll. Anyway, that said, I enjoy watching it just to decompress for the day. This series can be a guilty pleasure of sorts, but so far the main female character is really passive.

Just so we are all clear, this is purely a love story, yes? Other CDramas have complicated political intrigues going on and who back stabbed who and what male or female character interfered with what couple...in my mind, this is a telling of how the God of War fell in love...something of that nature. It would SUCK if we are in this ride, eating our pop corn as we are watching oh so good "chisme" (as my people say) and then everyone dies at the end. What happened to my love story?!?! That would SUCK and I would be oh so mad and upset. I barely hung on with 10 Miles of Peach Blossoms...I don't want to get my kleenex out unless its for a good, happy cry...

I love QY. Maybe its her heart break that makes her so gangster, I don't know...but she doesn't necessarily care what people think. She goes and does what she thinks is right, no matter if its in defiance of Heaven. Love her!

You are so right...she's horrible! I'm hoping for a moment like when Bai Qian rolls up into Heaven and tears the eyes off of Su Jin in Eternal Love. Something like that needs to happen.

I barely remember him in Crouching Tiger, but I am loving the fact that he is an older, seasoned actor AND that he isn't the conventional "handsome" type. His rugged looks and masculine aura adds so much to a character who is supposed to be older anyway. That makes him sexy and very appealing. Let's be honest, sometimes those wigs are not the best and make even the most handsome of actors look "weird". Its the way they are placed? I don't know...I don't mind long hair, its just the placement of them...somehow, sometimes the actors just seem weird in them. Well, I appreciate Chang Chen and am loving his acting in this drama. It makes me want to see more of his work.

Can anyone tell me what's with the daughter of the main doctor in Heaven? I know she likes the God of War, but what is she up to? She's really annoying...

So far I'm enjoying their performances. I haven't seen them in anything else, although I started watching The Rise of the Phenixes with Ni Ni and she seemed awesome in that one. We can't always have the male lead be in his 20's and pretend he's over 100,000 years old. That's why seasoned, male actors like Zhen are appreciated. Sure, the wigs sometimes aren't that flattering, but he's doing a great job so far. I loved the pairing of both of them and enjoy the time they have on screen. Its a win for me.

Well, I'm guessing as to what's going on since I don't understand what they are saying, but I thought she was supposed to be mortal until she turned 19 years old? So I was assuming that's why JC doesn't seem like he's shocked that something is wrong with her.

Is that because she was poisoned and its her time to go back? I'm also curious to see what happens....

Thank you so much for explaining this to me. I appreciate the work going into this as I speak more than one language and sometimes it takes time to translate something. As I understand it, the spoken Chinese in this drama isn't modern but ancient? Is that right? It just sucks that Croton doesn't have a better system of checking the hard work you guys do. I wish I spoke Chinese to help, but alas, that's not one of my superpowers :-/

This is such a good drama, but I'm wondering if there is only one person in charge of subbing this drama, or what the heck is going on? Even when there are English subtitles, they are incomplete. I see other dramas are being subbed pretty fast but this one is at snail pace and poorly subbed. Anyone check if the drama if fully subbed before uploading? Anyway, I've pretty much have watched this without the subtitles and think I know what's going on. Am loving this so far...
