She wants them to reconcile so cao ping doesn’t do something crazy that will ruin Xing Wu future. His grades…
After the way Ping treated QY, and considering that she already knew what he had done to Wu, I don't think it was a wise decision on her part—especially since she's usually so sharp-minded.

This isn't some petty high school fight where kids shake hands and make up. What that thug did in the past was a criminal offense, and he's already shown signs that he's capable of doing even worse things. At that point, reconciliation feels like a futile option.

If she really wanted to do her part and keep Wu from becoming consumed by thoughts of Ping, she shouldn't have gotten involved with the Cao siblings in the first place. First, she stood up for her bully. Then she helped save Fan's life. And now she's thinking about reconciling an ex-con with Wu.

She's playing with fire, and sooner or later she's going to get burned. Wu can't escape his fate. His circumstances and misfortune led him to cross paths with that jerk in the first place. Ultimately, this is a problem Wu has to overcome himself.

Sadly, tomorrow’s episode gets scarier, but hopefully he will be all right. And I agree with everything you…
Oh no!! I couldn't even watch the slashing scene properly today because I already knew that was where he was going to get the knife scar. I kept looking away because I couldn't bear to watch him get hurt.

Now I don't know how I'm going to get through tomorrow's episode. 🫠🥲

I wonder if this attempted murder scene happens as a consequence of QY trying to mediate between Ping and Wu and things taking a turn for the worse. Honestly, I was so frustrated with her in today's episode. I don't understand how she could even think about reconciling Wu and Ping when she saw firsthand how dangerous that guy was.

She needed to stay as far away from the Cao siblings as possible, and she definitely shouldn't have let Wu join her to save Cao Fan. But she did exactly the opposite!

Or maybe it's because Ping meant what he said? He did say he'd settle everything once and for all within three days, so that was pretty much a warning of what was to come. 🥲

Also, I don't think Wu alone is enough. His friends aren't nearly as formidable as he is. If he were to take on those hooligans, it would become a one-against-many situation, and that's probably how he ends up getting stabbed.

I couldn't bring myself to watch the preview for the next episode... Is it going to be even worse than the stabbing?! I'm so done with the Cao siblings and Ping's thug gang.

I'm even more frustrated with QY, you know. Like, there's a time and place for generosity, but read the room, girl.

First, you're standing up for your bully. Then you put yourself in a situation where her idiot brother thinks you caused all of this. And now you're even thinking about mediating between them and helping them reconcile after what you saw he almost did to you, and after everything he did to Wu?!

Oh, I'm getting a headache now.

idk wtf is wrong with cao ping ,like what's the point of hurting qing ye??
He's following the stupid logic of "you hurt my sister, so I'll hurt you," while completely ignoring basic decency and taking his anger out on the wrong person. Their scenes are pissing me off, tbh.

Sometimes you should just mind your own business and stop trying to save everyone, especially people who remain ungrateful and spiteful no matter what you do. Cao Fan is a perfect example.

I understand that Qing Ye is kind-hearted and can't stand injustice, but that doesn't mean she should go out of her way to have her bully's back! The Cao siblings are a bunch of insecure, jealous thugs. Getting involved with them is just inviting trouble into your life.

Cao Fan bullies everyone, yet tells her brother that she's the one being bullied. She hid what really happened and made Ping think that QY and XW were responsible for her fainting. She could have simply said that they took care of her and brought her to the hospital with their teacher, but no.

IDC how difficult their circumstances were. I couldn't care less about their misfortune. Everyone has struggles. Life is hard and unfair. That doesn't give you the right to ruin other people's lives.

Stay away from our WuYe!!

Today's comment section made it feel like we were back to the days when the drama had just started airing and half the viewers were confused and questioning the relationship between the main leads. I guess this will keep happening until the final week of the drama. 😪

Dear new viewers,

They're NOT COUSINS, ONLY FAMILY FRIENDS. The ML's mother was taken in by the FL's grandparents when she was young, and she came to regard the FL's mother as a younger sister. They weren't related by blood, nor was there any legal adoption, just a bond built on sisterly affection and friendship.
For everyone's sanity, I now really wish the drama had introduced them as family friends in Episode 1 instead!

Cao Ping came, and with him, the bad-boy Xing Wu is back! One glimpse of him fighting those hooligans and one scene of him flirting with Qing Ye, and I'm already craving more 🫢🫣

☀️ Did you sleep last night?
⚫ No.
☀️ Why?
⚫ I was thinking all night.
☀️ About what?
⚫ About you.
☀️ Oh you mean you were thinking about the study methods I taught you?
⚫ Never mind

That's a confession. I repeat, THAT'S A CONFESSION!! And our shy Qing Ye couldn't pick up on it!!! And to think she was the one who complained about him not being romantic at all while they were releasing a sky lantern just a few episodes ago?! 😭

I was feeling all giddy and gushing over how domestic they're becoming, them crushing on each other, and her getting nervous over that indirect coffee mug kiss (iykyk 😗). Then Cao Ping appeared, and my mood instantly dropped. Bruh couldn't have picked a worse time to get out of jail and ruin their lives! Just when he was focusing on his studies and dreaming about college life!!

Very important daily reminder 😤 There should be a separate tag here under the drama's name that says "Not Cousins, Only Family Friends" for everyone's sanity!

They're so calm even when they're jealous 😹. Never in my decades of drama-watching have I seen such a composed pair of lead characters before. Plus, they're such cuties that they can't even stay mad at each other for long, hehe.

what I like about this drama is the couple balanced each other, they make each other a better version of themselves…
Indeed! They complement each other so well. What's even more impressive to me is Qing Ye's character growth. She's as emotionally intelligent and mature as Xing Wu, if not more.

In the first two episodes, she was prejudiced against Zhazhating town, partly because it was a completely different world from the one she grew up in. Her initial repulsion wasn't unnatural, given that she was used to a pampered and sheltered life before arriving there. It was also because her uncle had taught her that money solves every problem, so she started using money as a solution to everything, which was what irritated Xing Wu the most.

As she started living there and experienced the genuine care and affection of the people around her, her perception gradually changed. She adapted to the town and eventually became one of them.

When grandma was in the hospital and Qing Ye knew how difficult it would be for Xing Wu to get through that period alone because of their financial struggles, she accepted her wealthy classmate's offer to tutor him. Later, when he offered her even more money to help her out, she refused, saying that she used to think money could solve every problem too.

At first, I didn't understand that part. I kept thinking that most of their current problems stemmed from financial burdens, so wasn't it true that money would solve a lot of them?

But then I saw her say that she'd support Xing Wu in whatever he chose to do because she trusted that whatever decision he made would be for the best. That's when it clicked for me. She realized that what he needed more than money was someone who would stay by his side, believe in his capabilities, and trust him to make his own choices.

It's very refreshing to see a character arc like that. Sorry for yapping so much, but I just love them haha.

It's rare to see such mature fl characters in current dramas.

I'm tired of seeing comments on X and YouTube from people who keep calling them cousins and saying the relationship disgusts them when, in reality, the main leads aren't cousins at all.

At this point, I wish the drama had introduced them as family friends instead. It's a shame to see so many people write off this beautiful drama because of that misunderstanding.

When I was just a couple of episodes in, I thought that Xing Wu would become one of my top favorites by the time I was halfway through the drama. And it happened.

I love his character so much, and I also love how Qing Ye has become the missing piece in his life, the one who brings warmth. She's literally his sunshine.

I'm so glad Qing Ye has become the catalyst that brings Xing Wu back to the things he left behind - his dreams, his hopes, and the importance of prioritizing his future.

The scene where Qing Ye sits beside him in the hospital, knowing how exhausted he is from carrying all his responsibilities, and he unconsciously leans his head against her shoulder... I could feel just how important her presence is in his life. If she weren't there, he would've woken up instantly because there would've been no one there to rest his head on.

His grandma and class teacher want him to focus on his studies, but his selflessness makes him prioritize everyone else before himself. That's why even Qing Ye couldn't persuade him to go back to school until her safety was at risk. He dropped everything he had planned and went there immediately to protect her.

That's why she's his catalyst. By protecting her, he'll gradually come closer to finding himself again, and she'll eventually push him to realize his potential.

When life is hard and luck doesn't work in your favor, having even one person who stays by your side through everything gives you the strength to push through your darkest days.

If Qing Ye had never come into his life, he would've always put his filial duties above his own dreams. With her, he'll slowly find himself again, and I can't wait to see him in his full glory with her by his side.

Oh, I love this drama so much! Why doesn't it have 60 episodes?! Can't believe we're already halfway through, and I don't want it to end.

This drama is airing at the perfect time for me. I can't explain it, but the overall vibe is very soothing and feels like something I didn't know I needed right now.
I'm getting the feeling that I'm going to cherish it for a long time once it's over.

I know, right?! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw those comments vehemently bashing the pure relationship between the main leads. I'm enjoying this drama a lot and absolutely love its soothing vibe.

If I hadn't come across those comments, I wouldn't have even known that some people were hating on this drama and trying to make the relationship seem weird when it really isn't. I wonder if that's one of the main reasons why the ratings here are so low...

Given how beautifully the plot is unfolding and how sweet the relationships between the characters are, I honestly think the ratings should be much higher!

Incest means blood relatives and they’re not related by blood. In most Asian families, blood relation is what…
This comment needs to be pinned for those trying to mislead new viewers into thinking the relationship between the main leads is immoral or tainted simply because the ML's mother was taken in and regarded as a younger sister.

If there was no legal adoption and no blood relation, then it implies that the relationship between the mothers was one of sisterly affection and friendship stemming from gratitude and mutual care—a very common thing in Asian cultures. Just because the mothers grew up together in the same home doesn't automatically make their children step-siblings. A sisterly bond between two unrelated women doesn't suddenly turn their children into relatives.

I honestly felt like I should rewatch the episodes because I thought perhaps I was missing certain details that made people claim with such conviction that this drama featured an incestuous relationship. Meanwhile, I was simply enjoying what I found to be a soothing and feel-good drama. I kept seeing a plethora of comments vehemently bashing it for supposedly glorifying an immoral relationship. Thankfully, someone took the time to clarify the situation for me.

I genuinely wonder if some of these people even know what incest means or what a pseudo-incestuous relationship actually implies. The thought never even crossed my mind when I started watching the drama. It wasn't until I came across those comments that I began questioning whether we were even watching the same drama in the first place.
