Have you seen The Double? If not, I recommend. Both leads are also out for revenge and realize their revenge paths align. They don’t share a childhood past like XQR and YR, but FL fleetingly caught the attention of the ML at some point in the past.

Yes!! 😍 I also loved the scene where she realizes what the jade pendant signifies. Some of the scenes where he’s battling so many people is unrealistic, but I still loved it lol. I’m enjoying Shen Run’s battle scenes. 🥰

I wonder though if XQY is purposefully asking them to make a decision, like she has a hidden motive herself that the grandmother does not fathom yet. I think XQY is more calculating then all of them and is playing the “good daughter — marrying who the elders want” is part of her plan. I haven’t read the book, however, so don’t know how far off I am. That said, it is clear the grandma knows XQY is smart and can easily maneuver the politics and obstacles presented to her.

Yay! Glad to hear it is doing well! For me personally, I liked the action scenes although sometimes it was so close-up I couldn’t appreciate the choreography. The actors were wonderful and it was nice to have some comedic moments peppered throughout. I’m glad I got to see on imax as well!
