i really want to get the timeline straight....so she was at lishan for 8 years....the whole fake rebellion happened 8 years back? not very clear on that....but she returned to her father's house 2 months back just in time for the wedding....but the duration of 8 years in lishan also includes some period when she was there alone...so the fake rebellion happened sometime within the 8 years that she was there....??? 😮

i think poj got way more flack that it deserved....am watching it again now....slowly and it is really good and i now feel that for once the fl got as much scope as the ml....and ineterstingly they reversed the arcs of the two....the ml got more of an emotional transformation and less action while the fl got vice versa.....watching it again, i totally feel that it unnecessarily got criticised too harshly....there is nothing wrong with a pretty guy being a general - that particular criticism is such an underhanded masculinity stereotype...anyway...sorry for putting it here....just came up contextually 🫰🫰

i love the way she weaves the story of the people at lishan in front of the empress....like they are really there....i still haven't fully understood what was going on there.....didn't the burned-dead guy set lishan academy on fire on the orders of the empress? or did the muyang guy order it so the empress also doesn't know and just thinks that the lushan people have become quiet?? the whole lushan episode itself is like one giant mystery....

totally agree....the bgm is on another level....like a complete minor character....
