I wonder if this is the current trend in Thai BLs since I just barely get back to BLs this year. It feels like a couple of the currently airing Thai BLs I'm watching are competing with each other to include extended NC scenes (it's long...), to the point where I find myself wondering when it will end. To be honest, it felt a bit uncomfortable and distracted, I feel like I was watching gay porn.
It's not that I have a problem with steamy or intimate scenes. In fact, I enjoy them when they're done in moderation, handled tastefully, and actually contribute to the plot. But when they become excessive, they start to have the opposite effect on me. I think the plot, the actors' performances, and the other aspects of these series are enough to keep me invested without relying too much on those elements. It's just my personal opinion.
"The P'orn Supremacy". Thanks, I thought I am the only one feel this way. :)) Your review gives me laughters. So I came searching for BoatOat series after watching Knot and other couple of concurrent BLs and I thought it is a new trend this year but actually this trend in Thai BLs has started earlier. It's just I barely get back to BLs this year so very eye opening :))
oh my gosh I am so glad Phob didn't take the information from Thinnakon otherwise... I have toothache watching this episode. :)) But in a sense, Phob is dragging the sun down, which is a good thing so there will not be class or social status separation between them.
I would disgaree on the princess. I really think Ongsa has the perfect blend of beauty but not really described…
My words might have caused confusion, I don't think he likes a femboy. But the Young Prince vibes from the old mangas is a perfect description and Ongsa is killing his role.
I have to say though, Ongsa is so good looking. Whoever doing the casting made the best decision. Ongsa and Inn are perfect for their roles. Especially Ongsa, even though he is a prince but I kept thinking he is a graceful princess. Also want to shout out to One31 though, it hasn’t disappointed me with its BLs although I have watched only a few.
oh my gosh I just realized Korn who played Put and Donut who played Dan are actually CP in another up coming iqiyi bl "Lust". No wonder I felt these two faces are so familiar.
I’m just going to leave a message here for the stylist who is in charge of styling little jane in the serie…
I think they did a proper job though, that is very normal and also it helps to see the contrast between him and big Jane who is rich and has a perfect look.
I have a feeling, P' Jane is a psychopath :)) and Dan is definitely plotting something. What if there is a plot twist that P' Jane actually not as bad as they said like maybe there is something about him that we don't know yet. It's sad the way their relationship is now. I am so curious how the story unfolds.
so Im officially kinda pissed off. Yesterdays episode had like 5 super important, touching emotional scenes and…
lol I agree those scene were the highlights that impacted me most. The scene on the roof top when Jay guiding Sun about his internal turmoil and what he actually needs, all the scenes revolve around the topic of suicide, the character Sun played and himself, who were going through trauma and difficulties to the point of losing the purpose of living. (the suicide scene, conversation between the director and Jay, Sun’s self-dialogue under the rain.) To be honest, I think they should have ended the episode when those two embraced under the rain when Sun cried. And leave the NC scene to the next episode. Then it would be perfect, a beautiful episode.
Toptap, who played Jay, was only 21 when he filmed this series. He once said that if he didn't get the role in…
I’m quite impressed that he was 21 but was able to portrait Jay a more matured and complex character. He totally captured me with his performance. Plus he is so fine and hot in this series.
Finally, a Thai BL that has a very good storyline. at ep..8, this point of the series, I actually very invested, enjoy and focus on the story itself. I also like how it touched a bit on the suicidal ( thought ) topic. I enjoyed the whole thing so much that I don’t care about those steamy scenes or kiss any more. I might have a different feel about the bed scene though. It was not as good as the flirting and kissing scenes. I don’t feel as much, just an act to me. I don’t know if it was technical things because I can see the actors have tried their best. I think ones of the best intimate cuts are the ones I have seen in KinnPorsch. They have everything from acting to camera work, pacing, edit… it’s just a small thing for discussion. I think Payback is one of the best Thai BLs this year so far, the second runner up is The Edge of Horizon. Payback is fun, it’s steamy and its intrigued story line are my muse weekly ☺️
To be honest, at first I really like the first part of the trailer because of the action scene seemed like the actor (Apo) does know some martial arts but then they had this hot scene, I became skeptical don't know if it's just gonna be a pleasure driven relationship or story. But after putting it off so quite sometime, I decided to binge it last night and wow it was different than what I think. Dang, the story was actually good and the acting that fuel fire of chemistry. It deserves the hype it got but I wish Vegas-Pete story have more runtime because it's actually as interesting or more than the main CP.
One of the highest regard I have for Kdrama and don't know when can I find such good series again. The directing, editing, camera work, atmosphere, song choices...etc... and the superb performance of the casts. Park Ji Hoon really made Si Eun his own character, his performance really impacted me that I kept thinking about the series after it ended. I know Hong Kyung played a very controversial character but his performance was also phenomenal though.
ok, I finally get a chance to continue the series and in ep.6. I felt so bad for Pheem. And seriously Dew is just so attractive in here. He made Pheem so irresistible, I think it's not just his appearance, his manners and his obsession for Jira.
