A Very Poetic Drama

If anyone asks me which drama is the most visually beautiful, poetic drama I've ever seen, it would be Her Private Life. The camera angles in this series are just simply brilliant. I came for Kim Jae Wook and he did not disappoint. The storyline itself is also very warm and touching and cute at the same time. The chemistry between the leads are off the chart and is simply one of the best three chemistries I've ever seen (besides Crash Landing On You and My Roomate is a Gumiho). After watching, many beautiful and meaningful scenes have stayed with me and simply make this drama one of the most favorites of mine. I highly recommend this drama to everyone!

Pure and Vibrant then...Painful

This drama is a hidden gem. It has the potential to be the best drama of 2022. Every scene is well executed and the story of each character is well woven into each other. I love the relationship between the ML and FL, something that blossoms from friendship and mutual understanding. They meet and communicate very naturally and every moment they get to spend together seems so innocent yet so sweet. I'm sure we are all reminded of our youth, our high school times when we watch this drama. I am hoping for double digits!

Edit: I cry a river in the last episode. And promise myself to never watch drama from Writer Kwon Do-Eun again. Both this drama and SearchWWW hurt me so badly. She likes to portrait the reality of life, which I don't want to see in a drama. If I could sum up 2521 in one phrase, it would be a proverb from my country which is "Head of an elephant and tail of a mouse", meaning it started so spectacularly and suddenly ended so spitefully. I feel bad for Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk, their acting was phenomenal but still couldn't calm the anger from the audience. It's all the writer's problem.

Rewatch? No, I won't. Just like how you desperate try to forget your first love so you can move on, this drama will make your heart pounding so much for the beautiful memories only for you to cry your heart out at the ends. It's too much of a roller coaster for me.

Beautiful storyline

This drama does not solely focus on love between a man and a woman. It's a story about relationships between people with mental issues, portrayed in the most realistic yet beautiful way possible. The brotherhood between Moon Sang Tae and Moon Kang Tae will make you laugh and cry, and it makes you think about your own relationship with family members because you sometimes will see yourself in the character of Kang Tae. Kang Tae, no matter how normal he looks, has his own mental issue and Ko Moon Young slowly heals him, just as he slowly heals her. The soundtracks are absolutely fantastic, all of them. I am enjoying the drama a lot and find it very refreshing among other predictable Korean romantic dramas.

Keeps Me Hooked

The drama is based on a real story of a prosecutor. Unlike most romantic dramas, this drama highlights the relationship between colleagues, namely relationships between bosses and employees, competitors vs competitors. Yet, this drama will for sure make you laugh, cry or bite your nail just as much as when you watch any other rom com. The comic relief and the unhappy events are at their best and will make you experience the full range of emotion. After episode 10, I start weeping like a fool because of how serious the story becomes. Overall, this drama is a must watch! I would recommend this drama to anyone who needs a change in kdramas or needs to take a break from all the romcom.

Amazing drama

Overall: A very refreshing rom com!!! I started watching without too much expectation but this drama has definitely kept me at the edge of my seat all the time and makes me giggle like a fool in the middle of the nights. The main casts have amazing visuals. Their chemistry is also off the chart and makes you even blush while watching. I came for Hyeri and now have fallen in love with Jang Ki Yong. The story is filled with comedy and heart fluttering moments! If I make my fiance watch this drama with me, you gotta watch it for yourself and then have your loved ones join you for a rewatch. This is definitely my favorite drama of 2021.

Hilarious and Meaningful

Watched this in 2005 when I still was a highschooler and fell in love with Hyun Bin since this drama. 10 years later when I haven't watched a single K drama, I rewatched My Name Is Kim Sam Soon and it still brought me the same joy and tears. The drama is hilarious yet also very realistic. I love the meaning behind the story that sometimes you'd like to move on and fall in love with new people and that's totally okay. This is one of the few dramas that I ask my fiance to watch with me and he enjoyed the series very much as well. Overall, I highly recommend it.

I just finished this drama the 4th time last night, and my heart still soars with joy by the moments from the drama. If you want to watch more Hyun Bin’s work, I recommend this one. It’s not an average rom-com, it requires some emotional investments as the story unfolds the thought process of HB’s character, how he became the way he is now. The character development in the story was one of the best I've ever seen in the world of fiction. HB’s acting in this drama is super superb and his visuals are also perfect. He makes you laugh and cry and fall in love with both characters that he portrays.

This one was my favorite of all time before CLOY. Please ignore the bad ratings, ignore all the comparisons between this and KMHM and give your pure heart a try. Like I said it’s not just another rom com because its plot is complex. But to those who love complicated plotlines and plot twists, you won’t be disappointed. Hyun Bin is simply the best actor.
