this rating really pains me. this drama is a masterpiece and it deserves 10/10

I saw that people recommended the red sleeve as a similar drama to this one - although both are historical and melodramas, the red sleeve is just wayyyy superior. if you have to choose between the two, just go for the red sleeve, it is worth all the pain

it seems like an unpopular opinion these days, but slow burn is the best type of romance. each progress in their relationship is killing

until the end of the first part, it is not even close to moon lovers

finished the first part:

the lack of a main reason for them to not be together makes it really hard to feel sad for them. like, ok, at first there was the war, but they didn't really like each other. then he believes she loves the other guy - ok, cool, but nothing too touching either. now she thought he was dead - this one I felt, but the misunderstandings were really annoying, and making her get married to a guy that didn't flinch when saying he would kill both? a big no!

and the dream. why the writer can't use it properly? never allowing her to see his face and then making her trying to betrayal her best friend for a man she's not even sure is the guy... ughhh

there are so many annoying things I'm still not clear yet. when I finish it, I know I will spend a few days trying to understand all the nonsense

a few changes will probably be made indeed. in the original, rashta is "adopted" by a couple looking for their daughter so she can hide her identity.

I just noticed the korean name is "miji's seoul". now I understand why fans were using "the unknown seoul" before the official name was out

I already felt bad for hosu mother before, she showed many times that she felt hurt by hosu's action, but knowing her story, I'm heartbroken

I was just waiting for them to finally break into a fight, I knew it would be hilarious
