Reading the novel is so painful sometimes that I have to take breaks. The story really cements what it is like…
This is exactly how I feel about her. Reason why I'm looking forward to ep 10. I hope people will understand why she's the way she is when they hear it coming out of her mouth
I watched 3 of the 10 episodes released so far and the fl is not my cup of tea. Can someone explain to me what…
It will be shown better later, but he doesnt really have a reason to like her. Nor does she. They just like each other. And I understand not liking her, but I should point out she's a depressed and traumatized person. You'll learn her story later, but its good to have in mind that she's a very hurt and solitary person
I think you may need to read the novel. There's a lot of context that is lost when adapting literature. Someone…
Yup. And his side was also explained. He was abandoned first by his mother. Then his dad died. Then Xu Qin left him. His reaction to his friend leaving is another symptom of his trauma

I 100% agree that the drama should work alone, but I think they're being very clear.
They didn't show how FL's parents died (the part about it being a couple fight, I mean), but they showed how she was adopted and how the Mengs acted and act towards her - the father being fine, the mother being a perfectionist and a clean freak, the brother being a kind weirdo. At school, she being the quiet bullied girl - you can see girls side eying her when Song Yan gave her candies and a girl trying to beat her outside the school before she sees Song Yan coming. At the hospital, her colleagues talking behind her back, she being fierce and cold towards them and the patients. No friends - in the book, she never gets a friend, but here they specially made a character to be her friend to showcase how depressed she was and to make her more likeable.
There are some scenes they cut from the novel that I think would highlight her issues, but I think the drama made a good job for now. If they did more, they'd need to draw or narrate or some like that. You just need to pay attention to the details
Oh, and give them time to tell the story 😅 we're still at 8 out of 40 episodes

I don't think its even necessary to read the novel, the drama is making it pretty clear... She not having friends, having a bad relationship with her family, being a rather cold doctor, going after him again and again despite him being very rude towards her...
I'm on ep 5... and so far it's okay. 5 episodes are maybe too early to judge, but I can't hide that I'm a little…
Today's episodes actually answered your question - they don't have a reason to like each other, they just like. And why should they have a reason? I heard one person say once that if you have a reason to like someone, then you're most likely to stop liking that person, because people change. I always think of this when I see couples like this. And I very much like it. I like you because you're you, not because you're kind or pretty or brave, just because you are.
Also, they were teens, why should they act like adults?
They made Xu Qin much more lively and likeable here. In the novel, she's really gloomy and serious. Oh, have in mind she's a depressed and traumatized; she is pitiful, she is suffering.
why you guys even care about it, or even take it into consideration ðŸ˜
its only influential for crazy fans and yxh trying to start fanwars. we int fans dont care about it, nor should we care. they're leads and thats all that matters

I think I've answered another comment of yours about her personality, so I'll just wait your thoughts about that
