My God, Sejin is infuriating. She's just like the grandmother, blame anyone but herself for her own mistakes. I pity her dad for having to deal with her and her mother
People in the comment section misusing words like Heavy plot and filler episodes...Firstly I saw a comment saying…
Lol you're 100% right. I'd say the only flaw is the amount of conflicts with ridiculous motivations. Like, they could've made Gao Leng do more so-called childish things to make the breakup reasonable - it was so out of pocket and forced
It took me 3 or 4 tries to be able to finish it It takes time to engage us, the chemistry is awkward, the acting is weak (specially MLs), the production isn't much, the script has many flaws, the ending was rushed and felt flat. It had its moments, but these were interspersed with boring and weak plots. Does not deserve the hype
it could happen, but I guess it will have a different cast
Well, its part of the business. As your market value increases, so should your salary increase. And as the first season worked well, more money will be invested and more sponsors will search for it because it already has a stable public that will give them the promo they want. So its just right that they ask for more

I saw this too. I guess money is also part of the reason. The cast is definitely going to ask for more money (just like how it happens in TV series in the west), and sometimes they just don't trust enough the second season or doesn't have money enough to pay so much more, so its better to go for a cheaper cast - they will get money anyway and will spend less.

Its very uncommon for an a-list to act a sequel, unless its a very big hit (like Joy of Life), and Yang Yang himself haven't acted a sequel unless it was already filmed (like Martial Universe). His contract with Tencent has also ended. So, I don't see him coming back. But since Tencent already confirmed a sequel, I guess they'll try a new cast - or at least a new main cast
Edit: I just realized your comment about the anime. Well, the anime is being pretty fateful to the novel for now, but the drama had some changes. The Glory team was supposed to win the challenge first to enter the main league. The novel ends with them winning the main league and a worldwide championship being formed, with Ye Xiu being chosen as the captain for China. If a s2 really happen, I think it will cover the worlds.
