All the endings were left lacking...... Don't get me wrong, I like cliff hangers and suspense but this just felt left you feeling like you had one chip and no one passed the bag back. Also the other female lead Shangguan Qian what the heck was that goodbye about? what happens to her? wasted 24 episodes of my life.
Woah! after my foray into CDramas! I'd rate this a #2 after Jade! Great chemistry and storyline that didn't disappoint.....even with a tear jerker. Not all warm and fuzzy. Be prepared for heart breaks.
Good rebound after Pursuit of Jade. Took a few episodes to really get into it but then the strategy and plot line get good. Great chemistry between leads.
Watched this because I need more of the male lead after watching pursuit of jade but it was too slow and had no compelling story. Good for a slow romance rainy day.
I am a kdrama fan but decided to give this a try and it swept me in from episode 1. Amazing chemistry, strong female yet delicate and I have a new crush in the drama world! Storyline was good and well paced. 40 episodes seemed intimidating until I realized it was only 30 mins each.
For a kdrama without any romance, the storyline held my attention enough to be curious about a 2nd season. Maybe in the next season we find out who gets the girl? Could it be the ex or the young family tycoon.
No the stroylines and characters are not connected. But if you had to choose one I recommend 1988
I just finished 1994 tonight and there is one episode where the cast from 1997 make an appearance. You wouldn't know unless you watched 1997. Personally having watched all 3 now, 1997 is my least favorite compared to the other 2.
