Lol I know exactly what it means when an actor is "type casted". And let's not pretend like actors don't get offered roles off of popularity of their looks rather than their actual talent. Not saying he's not talented but he's definitely not diverse in acting, they could've chosen someone much better out of the catalog of South Korean actors. He might do good, he might not, who knows but based on his acting history....."Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy" filled with popular actors and completely flopped.
EPS 1 wasn't really as great as i thought it would be. It seems okay, it progressively gets better each episode I finished EPS 6 so far but idk I can think of other historical C-Dramas i've seen that are way above this in acting and storytelling but it's not necessarily bad maybe just overhyped
