I'm not 100% sure if I'm going down the wrong track but, isn't it weird that he get to debut even tho he's literally got so many antis, plus ppl who would vote others over him (like me for example) even if they're not his antis? like who on earth voted for the poor guy he wouldn't get sm hate if he didn't even debut here. do ppl vote for ppl they hate too or smth? how odd....

is it just me or is anyone else grossed out by the way TTJ 'handles' YXW after she dies coz like, isn't it a corpse? why u kissing its forehead? ew

THIS is what you call a tragic romance.

From the last battle of the father and son, fighting for both their life and the lives of the civilians.
Then when TTJ chooses YBC over YXW, the disappointment and pain caused to both TTJ and TXW.

Also their performance in the lightning punishment scene was SUPERB. I'm not usually one to feel many emotions coming out of a screen, but THAT was so good. The way YXW had to pull each other's hearts out, the sacrifice she made so that TTJ would not become the devil god, but she still loved him, and he didn't want to let her die, let her be taken away from him. It is truly tragic.

Honestly, I find the deaths in cdrama historical fantasies sort of comical, as if they don't take the death seriously. Like the editing, music and the screen time given to the dead don't truly showcase the pain and suffering and sacrifice of the person. But YXWs death was truly sad. It made feel not just sad, but a loss.

she NEEDS to die painfully or else imma actually stop watching.

this is bringing out my inner psychopath but I hope she gets her arms and legs pulled apart then dunked into a pot full of some acidic poisonous substance that will kill her slowly, then she escapes out of the pot just to be carried by a huge eagle hawk like animal called by TTJ and dumped into a volcano into the middle of nowhere

also Zhi Xi acknowledges her mistake. At this point, im wondering how, with TH's mindset, she even lasted in the immortal realm. Her character is not ok. How can someone be so hateful for no reason?

im pretty sure there was one line in the first eps where TTJ said, "oh it's you" I think that he sorta recognises her. OR it could be that when he changed into the Devil God, he just forgot everything and is now pure evil

ik everything is great in this drama and I thought the sister of YXW was just a character that would build up YXWs character, but does she rly need to become a liability to them? IN TIMES OF WAR?! God I hate these characters that just bring others down for no reason like, U R NOT BUILT TO FIGHT A MIND-PLAYING, MANIPULATING, SUCKING-PEOPLE-INTO-DREAMS DEMON SERPENT!

I rly like the way the characters have been created in this drama, they have so much dimension and are also quite realistic.
Like, we see TTJ, who has no emotions and is literally evil. Solely based on his character, he isn't given any leeway, which does the cdrama cliche like "oh he's so pitiful, he is the way he is bc he's been mistreated, but in reality he's such a sweetheart who's kind to everyone." No, he isn't. He was born this way. He's been mistreated, that's true, but that doesn't mean he's just gonna forgive and forget. However, regardless of that, he is shown to be fiercely loyal to those who care for him, and maybe even have the ability to love.
Then we have LSS or YXW. She's a wonderful character. She's not weak, but isn't the most powerful being on earth. She wants to protect what's hers, but also isn't innately a bad person. This is why in the beginning, we see her have conflicts with herself. Also not another cdrama cliche which is like, "oh, it's not right to let him suffer, he's not the devil god right now, so I won't be mean to him," but more like "I want him to suffer, but it's not great if he dies." She has a family to protect, and a god to kill, and she's doing what she can to achieve that.

yea I guess it rly was just bc crown prince was taught by Jinmu and I think it was just that he didn't stop Jinmu from making mudeok run wild. I thought there was smth more than that but I guess not lol. Thank you!

guys can someone explain exactly what happened between uk and the crown prince? like what's the exact reason that they hate each other in the beginning of part 2? what did the crown prince do?

The characters are not without their flaws, but they are each extremely charming in their own way (and to every one of the viewers too ;) THIS is the true definition of a strong & independent fl. She holds her own and others too. To many other females in the drama too, she's an inspiration, and to the many of theother males in the drama, she's an icon. (Even tho, obv she doesn't even care)
It was a drama about mutual respect and love, AND IT NAILED IT!!!
