Big Jane is terrifying. Regardless of how obviously in love with Little Jane he is, he has repeatedly sexually harassed him and clearly doesn’t understand or care about Little Jane’s autonomy or his right to have authority over his own life and body. He literally tracks him and barely lets him leave the apartment. And when it comes to sex, his mindset seems to be, “I want it, so you must want it too,” which is why he kept trying to initiate even when Little Jane clearly didn’t want it. I also hate how SA is treated as such a non-issue in BLs, like it’s just something that happens in moments of passion. It’s a CRIME, and I doubt the show will actually address it properly, which is a shame. Still, I guess it adds another layer to Big Jane and the kind of person he is.
I also wish the forced cohabitation aspect had been explored more. The ending of episode 6 was pretty much what I expected from the trailer: Big Jane makes Little Jane fall for him, Little Jane realizes who he really is, and then something terrible happens that tears them apart. In a way, Big Jane ultimately gets what he always wanted : he gets to play with Little Jane, make him fall in love with him, and then break his heart. But honestly, it feels more like a lose-lose situation since they both fell hard for each other. Anyway, I’m so curious about the next episode! Will there be a time skip? I usually hate them, but I think it could work here. I have a feeling Little Jane is going to have a really hard life, though??
how can this have such rating ? i have watched 2 episodes so far and i hope it gets better because it's so boring…
I feel the same way. I thought I was going to love it, so I'm quite disappointed. I think the lighting is really bad, and the soundtrack too (it feels kind of out of place). To be fair, I'm only halfway through episode 1, so maybe it gets better. I sure hope so.
