Excellent Korean BL!

I first watched this last June when I was super delirious from covid. I enjoyed it. I hadn't seen a wonderful Korean BL in a while. I just now finished my second rewatch, and I think this show is a must-watch, truly a standout series. It's shot very beautifully and constantly misdirects the viewer. The way I gasped at some points! Truly worth the ups and downs.

Standout performances: Definitely Cha Sunhyung who plays Ju Seonghyeon. He seems to be a natural in front of the camera. I became completely immersed in his character. He was an adorable golden-retriever type. His warm and dazzling smile was a joy to behold.

The character, Kim Suhyeon, kept scaring me. I'd flinch whenever he'd appear on screen. His rages, tantrums, and possessiveness makes me think he had a very abusive upbringing in spite of being born with a silver spoon. Cha Jungwoo was very convincing in his role, and I think I'd faint at the sight of him.

What can I say about Shin Jaemin? I've never experienced a black flag masquerading as a bright green flag before. His slow reveal as the malevolent force behind everyone's suffering was stunning. He successfully distracted me from my absolute number one BL scumbag, Lu Feng, of Double Helix fame.

Something that made me so mad during this viewing: Jung Da-on's colleagues at Albi Construction. They were ready to turn on Jung Da-on at any moment believing the most lurid and untrue gossip about him. They had the nerve to trash talk him several times in his hearing. They kept trampling Jung Da-on's already very fragile self esteem.

As an angst and misdirection enjoyer, I'd like to summarize my review by ranking the main villains of this story:

1) Shin Jaemin (he belongs under the jail with the novel version Lu Feng of Double Helix)
2) Jung Da-on's trash colleagues (are they even human?)
3) Kim Suhyeon (I sentence him to prison time for stalking, harassing, and assaulting Da-on)
4) Jung Da-on's low self-esteem (my heart breaks for his suffering).
