Title Three Men
My heart is in pieces, My Mister; one of my favorite actors in one of the best Korean dramas ever made to this day. A toxic culture (including toxic fans and anti-fans) and an industry that treats its talent as business commodities are to blame for this and the many other losses that have gone too soon. When will the many celebrity suicide deaths in the past decade or so bring the issue of mental health and industry pressure to the forefront, and when will Koreans, the government and the talent management companies, the cancel mentality within the industry, and those whose callus decisions affect the lives of these celebrities take responsibility and affect the change so desperately needed in this industry. Celebrity lives matter; they deserve privacy, they deserve to live their own lives, and more than anything, they earn "innocence until proven guilty." I am gravely affected by this loss. I didn't know him personally, but I felt him deeply through his work. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, wife, and children. May he find the peace he desperately needed, as he felt this was the only option. I hate it for him, and his family so much!

I had just finished watching Trans-Siberian Pathfinders, a reality show follows him, Kim Nam Gil, Lee Sang Yeob, Kim Min Sik, and Go Kyu Pil as they travel along the Trans-Siberian Railway, such a wonderful reality show that showed genuine friendships and situations. My heart will forever be broken for this.

This reminds me of Yoo Ah In who I’ve been worried about since his “drug allegations” came out. I hope he’s…
Me too, I go on his instigram page at least once a week to let him know he is loved and to not do anything rash .. to be honest I worried for him more than I did LSK, I just never saw this coming for him. I hate it so much.

I knew something is seriously wrong with the korean society ever since han hyo joo got attacked and cancelled…
Absolutely. For me, it was when Lee Seung Gi's fans petitioned against his marriage to Lee Da In, and he had to defend his decision publicly. And all the hate on her because of her family's stock manipulation scandal; while the court found she had no involvement in the crime, Seung Gi's fans still didn't want him to be in a relationship with Da In as it may smear his reputation as an actor without any controversies under his name. On the contrary, she stayed out of the public and acting for five years because of it. I was already aware of how bad for some celebrities, but this solidified it. Who gives anyone the right to think they could dictate who a celebrity dates or marries, how has it come to this, and who needs to fix this toxicity? My heart goes out to all the celebrities that have suffered and continue to suffer these actions of toxicity, be it from their own agencies, the public, their fans, or anybody else, and I hope, no, I pray someone takes notice and starts to talk about this as only by acknowledging the problem will there be an effort made to change it. My Mister, my heart is weeping and will do so for a long time.

Yes, the convo is making it's rounds on social media, it came up on my fy page on tiktok and I couldn't for the life me understand why anyone would post such a thing, how can anyone be so vile as to want to ruin someone's life famous or not in this manner. I believe in karma and what goes around comes around. Everyone involved in bringing this man down will get their dues no matter how long it takes -- My Mister I mourn you deeply.

I am wondering - as a Swede - are you more educated on topics like mental health, fame, triggers, cultures than…
I so agree with you. Sulli bears witness to the evil doings of cyberbullies, may her soul rest in peace too.

First of all, I'd ask uneducated people here who don't understand anything about their lives, probably bored Americans,…
I take offense to the "bored American bit" for someone asking not to spread "irrelevant conspiracies", your words, hence in quotation you seem to be the one doing it. One should be careful of how they use words as they have power, as we've witnessed repeatedly in the many untimely deaths in this industry throughout the years. Also, the keyword in your comment was "allegations." So many things are alleged against celebrities that don't make it accurate or untrue, but they are just allegations until proven otherwise. It is deplorable that the investigation that led to this tragedy is now closed by his untimely death, deeming the claims unfounded --- I am American. My heart is in pieces for this unbelievable loss and for the loved ones left behind who will have to carry this with them forever. RIP, My Mister; my thoughts and prayers are with your family, wife, and children.

I'm gonna start watching Chocolate as all the other dramas you mentioned are my favourite. I am liking this one…
@Red_Umbrella recommended some really good ones for sure. Here are a few more: On The Way to the Airport (I mean brilliant); Secret Love Affair, A Wife’s Credentials, Valid Love, Love Affairs in the Afternoon (some may not agree but this Korean version touched me deeply so much more than the Japanese), Mad for Each Other (it starts kind of crazy but it's wonderful, very touching), You Are My Spring.

I love a drama that silently delivers strong messages that make me more aware of myself and the people around me. It's amazing how those of us who have all our senses assume everybody else is just like us. We take what we have so much for granted. I am guilty of it for sure, or at least was, until Jung Mo Eun brought me to consciousness when she told Jin Woo people misunderstand because they think everyone can hear such powerful words. I love how she is with Jin Woo; she makes no excuses for him, nor does she try to hide her feelings for him. I swear, not one episode with a dry eye. I am in awe!

Very few dramas, My Mister, Lost, My Liberation Notes, Chocolate, and Call It Love, have affected me to the extent that I would go as far as to say changed me, and Tell Me That You Love Me is slowly but surely earning its right to be amongst those few but greatest ever made. Every episode, I cry. Sometimes, I find it hard even to catch my breath while laughing or smiling at the same time. I knew she would confess, the way she stared at him as he sipped his coffee. I am overwhelmed every time. This beautiful drama profoundly impacts me!
