I just finished ep 32. Enjoying the ride. :) This slow burn romance is starting to heat up! I think they've done a great job. I felt with her with each of the men in her life. I enjoyed Yan Lin at the beginning but then my preference for him faded after he left. I enjoyed her time away with Zhang Zhe and the rebels and it was really hard to watch his mom die and everything that happened between him and JXN after that. But I never thought they were a good match, anyways. Truly Xie Wei is the most suitable for her and I have been looking forward to her finally coming to this realization!
I do feel sorry for the sister that became the concubine instead of the consort. I am looking forward to the downfall of the Xue family... they are awful.

I've put this on hold for a bit while watching something else. I'm still reading the spoilers, though so thank you! I'm really hoping someone's earlier comment about all of this being a premonition RY sees when he does a divination for JL in the second episode is what actually happened. But then I'm unsure of how she would then come to care for him because she is still that wild immature girl in the second episode.

Haven't seen the 2 newest episodes yet, but when watching ep 8 today... I got the impression her shifu doesn't want to help because she is the woman the old Emperor didn't marry. The translation said she was "hermitress" so makes sense that she took herself into solitude after losing the marriage to the Emperor. I'd hate the Astrology Pavilion, too.
I hope he returns to his normal self soon. It's hard to see my precious He Na acting like this. 🥺 But WYS is doing a great job with the portrayal! In my real life, I have very close connections to the special needs community and these episodes are a bit hard to watch for me. I will keep going, though. I appreciate the people giving recaps so I can have an idea what to expect.
