Yes! Even the "unlikable" characters are likeable. It's like the polar opposite of Chong Zi.
That's a great point. There really wasn't any explanation nor did there seem to be many characters who were indifferent towards her. Characters either loved her or hated her... everything was so extreme.
Jiamin is totally sus Luili, but she is not quite sure why. I'm excited for when Luili comes open to her new little…
I find nothing wrong with it. I think the next episodes will be π₯! It's been a much easier watch than CZ. Looking forward to new episodes in a few days!
I'm finally all caught up! Loving this way more than Chong Zi. There is not a single character that I hate. I don't even mind Princess Jiamin. I'm enjoying the scenes with Crown Prince and Princess Hua and how they are gradually starting to care for each other.
I feel very unsastified. I like the happy ending in that the couple ends up together in the epilogue. Even if it was mostly just flashback scenes. But the last episode was so rushed and I'm not sure I understood it completely. The sad thing is I don't even really care to try to understand it more. Thank you to Amy and all of her earlier comments that have definitely helped fill in gaps. The novel ending in the discussion also gives more detail and I will just go with that.
I think CZ being able to seal Wang Yue with basically just pointing her fingers to the sky was absolutely ridiculous. He pretty much disappeared in the final episode which is too bad because he was the most interesting part in the 3rd arc.
Zhuo Hao is so lovesick and I felt really sorry for him just wandering around remembering the moments he met CZ for the first time (which his feelings are absolutely one sided). When I say I feel sorry for him, it's really because of the way the writers portrayed him. He remained obsessed with her the entire time, even after she's gone. The secondhand embarrassment watching this guy get rejected so many times is real.
I feel that there could have been so much more, but unfortunately it fell flat. Also, LYF's makeup was really off in the last 6-8 episodes. Not sure if it was supposed to be like that or if they just ran out of makeup. Lol He looked kinda sickly. Maybe that's what they were going for. I don't know.
I'm glad it's over. It didn't match my expectations, but it was very pretty to watch on a superficial level and has a great OST.

It's not great but I will finish it. I do like some things like their costumes and of course all the pretty faces, but I'm noticing that LYF went from a powerful immortal who didn't give a crap what others thought (remember his "I don't want to answer you" when everyone found out he had been concealing Wen Zi's face) to someone who fell to not one but TWO poisons (the heart poison and phoenix tears) and he is just not the same LYF we met at the beginning. The looks on his face often look like a fallen man, which I understand as he has been going through all this crap. But then when the immortals need him, he turns robotic like the Terminator and is sent off to finish his task. I feel like there could have been so much more if the writers were better. The use of misunderstandings has been really heavy in this 3rd arc. The main couple's relationship seems very immature when they can't even have a whole conversation without a new misunderstanding pop up.

Yes! He's so powerful, but I feel like they've written him to sit around and wait for his next task... in between his heart poison attacks. I am just thankful that he sees right through Ting Xue because that evil girl needs to go.

I would share Tian Zhixie with you. π He has enough different faces, we can pick what we want. Haha
Zhu Hao is really tragic. He is so steadfast in his love for CZ, but just doesn't know when/can't give it up. He used to get on my nerves, but now I straight up feel sorry for him.
I feel like LYF should have been more upset after finally realizing he had been poisoned. He has been betrayed by his own sect and he is supposed to be the most powerful of all of them. They basically just use him to do all the hard work they can't do.
For anyone who didn't pay for the express episodes and is watching the new episodes today:
I knew Tian Zhixie was going to die, but whyyyyyy ππππ and then his spirit coming back to tell her he can't be by her side anymore πππ

Totally down for that harem π
