i think you're right in a way. The dad is homophobic but not because he hates gay people; it's because he doesn't know and understand gay people. But he's also NOT homophobic because in his own way, he's trying to understand his son; he doesn't hate his son. So maybe a better way to put it is: he's NOT NOT homophobic.

is it forgettable because the couple didn't break up at ep 11? Breaking up and reconciling gives audience that catharsis. But to me, I thought it was quite refreshing that they didn't.

But when he was 17, he didn’t realise he was in love though. It was only when he was 40 at the grave when Lin said she would have married Nut that he realised he was in love at that time. He’s still a 40 year old man in love with the idea of a 17 year old boy. Honestly I feel like you’re doing a lot of mental gymnastics just to justify rearrange but you condemn promise of soul.

but win is still 40 years old, he brings with him the memories, experiences, and maturity of a 40 year old. He could "trick" them all with his experiences. I think you need to check on your double standards. Maybe you're ageist? Maybe in Promise of the Soul, the old man was too old and not goodlooking but here, the 40 year old is hot. So you didn't mind.

I agree with you but I think time travel stories all have plot holes. You have to give time travel stories a lot of leeway.
