After watching POJ i've been watching Zhanglinghe's older shows and this one was just awful. That said, i'd have to say ZLH is an extremely versatile actor - he was TOTALLY UNLIKABLE in this whole series.
Folks, if you're here for the handsome ZLH who left us breathless in POJ, skip this series altogether! Don't ruin your ZLH experience! He's not even handsome in this series, and the male lead is a complete a-hole to the female lead most the time. The female lead? Even worse.
The romance is absolutely crap. The Female lead has PTSD from her past life, the male lead has PTSD from his childhood. The romantic scenes are awful. in fact.. WHAT romantic scenes? Every "romance" scene is borderline assault. They are agonizing to watch. Nothing romantic happens until 32 and even then, it's just awful! no swoon-worthy moments AT ALL.
I don't care how good the plot is. The male lead needs to see a shrink. The female lead is just stupid. She finally realises that she wanted to marry him on the last 10 mins of the last episode. There are WAY MANY MORE c-dramas worth watching than this. Don't waste your time.
This is not a romance - so if you're one of those romance lovers like me, skip this one. no hot scenes, no passionate kissing, not even flirting! Not fun to watch. Just alot of frustration and seems like nobody ends up happy. The plot was ok but the cast and acting were terrible! This is the first time I liked the antagonist more the protagonist. The FL was absolutely disappointing - always scowling and three steps behind her rival - you really wonder how any of the MLs could fall for her. Not once did she smile or show any real intelligence. MLs also not inspiring - both were handsome but didn't show much personality or charisma. Won't be re-watching, felt like I wasted 8 hours of my life.
