1. one of the guys who died was in the drama (the one with the gold sword - don't recall his name right now. but…
it's huang xiong. killing him is just too unnecessary here. They reinforce XJs army and theyre very likely to win so there's no reason to kill. but Yan He, they should've let him live!
Too bad I can’t read Chinese. What’s the score on Douyin for this drama?
in douban? it's 5.4 with 32,398 people rated. knowing douban, the people who rated this is a mixture of haters and bashers so it's not accurate. for casual viewers some find the show amazing. but majority of the novel readers just hated it.
The comments are more entertaining than the show. I can't wait to read more comments like this once other works of the author get adapted and released. If a well-known novel gets an adaptationthat does not meet some readers' expectations, expect criticism and comments expressing disappointment.
It's way worse on Weibo and Rednote; readers are throwing a fit there 🤣
this might be my last comment here. i need to move on. there's still plenty of ongoing dramas to pay attention to. I should waste no time. 🤣
I just like the feeling when drama adaptations remains 80% or 90% faithful to its original source materials. I'm not Qian Shan Che Ke, but I really feel respected.
with LOTFG finished airing, I still choose this as QSCK's best drama adaptation. despite being a low budget drama, the characters and production still gave justice to the plot. I really love the feeling when drama adaptations remains atleast 90% faithful to the original source material. im not the author but I feel respected. ❤️
i bet those non novel readers wouldn't feel the pain when some characters died. unlike me who's been reading and…
i really thought the writers would skip his death in the drama. 😭 But they gave him screentime and he keeps on mentioning his pregnant wife, it doesn't sit right with me. 😭
That Chu Zhao's crap was soooo unnecessary. Why not allocate that screen time to the final military campaign or…
i bet those non novel readers wouldn't feel the pain when some characters died. unlike me who's been reading and re reading the novel until the drama release. bruhh in the drama yan he's death seems so rushed I bet no one's really crying over his death. 😭
1. good thing they didn't kill anyone in heyan's squad since the chars who were actually got killed didn't exist in the novel.
2. yixiang's death in the novel was gruesome, and tbh her death in the drama was just for CZ's character for viewers to pity him. poor yingxiang.
3. Yan He, I expected him to be spared in the drama but his frequent screentime gave me an idea that he'll be killed too according to the novel.
4. and lastly, the King is supposed to get killed by the crown prince, but I guess the screenwriters let him live since there's no crown prince appearance in the drama.
