To cherish; thank you for this drama!

So where to begin? I began watching this at 3 AM because of insomnia and my god did I find a gem. This series will hold a very special place in my heart, it feels familiar and raw. From the first episode, I was drawn in by the two leads who intrigued me. Both of them are very warm characters. I wish I were better with words to describe how I really feel about this beautiful series but I'm really unable to express it with only words. I wish there was a better word than love... I'm obsessed. I like the background characters, they added to story. By showing how unrequited love looked like (and showing that it definitely wasn't what was between Yuma and Sakura) and showing another couple giving advice to the two boys who are in love. Despite it's short length, this series has really left an impact on me and I hope others feel the same way. The smiles and the friendship in this is just so great to watch, it really makes someone feel alive. I'm especially fond of J-BLs as they feel warm like summer and really are a breath of fresh air... this DID NOT disappoint. The story and it's flow was especially lovely to me, I don't bother to read the other comments but please give this series a try. It really short and interesting, with fun characters and aesthetic cinematography.
Kudos to the cast who did great performances for their characters! The two leads have great chemistry and their 12 years of friendship felt real. These are new faces (for me) that I'll look forward and support with their future projects! If we were to see more of these characters and this story, I'd like to see more of their lives without one another (not broken up but what they do when their not together or at school, like family life.) Also, I'd like to see their special ways of cherishing one another. To cherish, to love, to protect. Like Norio and Yuma wanted to do for their lovers when they had fallen down. Well, I surely will cherish this series and their short love story. As always, thank you to the cast and crew who made this series possible. It's just what I needed and wanted to watch during this hot summer that is amidst me. As Sakura said, "Let's all keep on cherishing those that we treasure in life." I hope this wholesome love story will bring a smile to your face, or even make you feel a little less empty. Because it certainly did that much for me.

An Attempt to Express my love for Gu Wei and Lin Zhixiao

Let's get straight to the point: I loved this drama. I found myself very attached to the main couple, I bawled while watching the finale. (It aired the day after my birthday, I was eating my birthday cake while watching it hahaha) I finished it the day it finished airing but I've finally managed to gather my thoughts coherently about just how much I loved watching this couple grow. I'd been anticipating this drama for a long time and when the first episode finally aired I thought I was living in a fever dream. It just felt unreal to see Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan and Lin Zhixiao and Gu Wei on my screen. I loved their characters, especially Dr. Gu Wei. The way Xiao Zhan portrayed Dr. Gu Wei's emotions really moved me, it felt raw and genuine. I liked Lin Zhixiao's bubbliness, and though sometimes she'd day some questionable things, they'd get resolved and explained later. (That's Dr. Gu's doing) I don't really watch modern romance cdramas because of their long length, but I was pleasantly surprised about just how much I enjoyed this drama. I felt like I fell in love while watching too. (Also... watching this was huge BI PANIC ahaha) I was giggling and twirling whenever they said some romantic things to one another, watching this drama was just what I needed after a tiring day! Their character growth as their romance progressed was refreshing to see. And I fell in LOVE with the OST, especially the theme song. This drama was definitely my cup of tea, though I'd understand why some people wouldn't agree with me. I'm the type of watcher who is completely fine with tooth rotting fluff, I don't care for a plot, I just wanted to see them happily together. (and we DID see that T^T) While watching the finale, there were many tears streaming down my face. I was soo happy seeing them married and living their lives with their child.
I basically repeated myself throughout this review, but I recommend to those who love healing romance dramas! I'm a bit hesitant to write down this bit but I've always seen marriage as a scary topic/concept/thing (?), as what I've been exposed to in my IRL life, so watching this drama and this couple made me rethink a bit of what I had thought before. (Though it isn't the first time a drama had ever made me rethink the concept of marriage "Because This Is My First Life" it definitely made me see it in a far more positive light.) Overall, the cast did an incredible job bring this drama to life (and i give them a thousand thanks for recording their duet for the theme song) and I finished this drama feeling like a satisfied watcher! Here's the line that stuck with me the most: GW - "If we're to old to remember anything, I hope that loving you is the last thing I forget."

what a journey!

i finally finished this drama after putting it off for a couple of hours (i wasn't strong enough to put it off for more time ahaha) i just wanna say i really adore this drama and the performances from this drama are incredible. many thanks to the cast and crew for making this drama happen. ??‍♀️? (read on to read me rambling about how much i adore this series i guess ahaha)
the plot kept me entertained and i waited for every episode very anxiously. the characters were new to me and i fell in love with the two leads and their dynamics. the supporting characters served their purpose: some annoyed me, some stung my heart (pu and xiyue) and others got in the way for plot convenience.
the performances in this drama are really great. zhao lusi really shone in this production, i loved watching her emotional scenes and seeing her character rise against all the misfortune that befell on her. yangyang seriously surprised me,this is the first drama of his i've ever watched. i have to say: Lanxi's dedication and love for Xiyun is so heartwarming. we had already seen it from the first episodes. i especially watched his performance during episodes 27-28. he nailed the role! the soundtrack is great, im obsessed with the opening theme. i loved watching the comedy bits, and the sismance between qiwu and bai fengxi. i enjoyed this SOO MUCH, so i've rated this a solid 10/10. a thousand thanks to all those who contributed to this series: the cast, crew, subbers, distributers and just EVERYONE. special shoutout to my favorite supporting characters (in no particular order): qiwu, zhongli, feng chang, han pu, xiyue, and some others i dont remember their names :( i love this series so much, and im not very good with words so i'll have to stop at a THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! ?⚔??
