I'm not sure why I need to know whether it's comedy in the first minute of the drama, when the main character is just going through the motion of being a fan. Is there any big shift to the comedic timing? There isn't.

Is it because of the sound effect it's considered as comedy?

Because I am rewatching it from my Iqiyi, and up until 7 minutes, there are not even 1 funny episode. The MC was just explaining that he was a fan of Nine in the first few minutes, then he got on his motorcycle to go to the place where he can meet his idol, taking photos, having argument with other fans, then he went to the rooftop only to meet with the ML.

In which part there's any comedic timing? And the rooftop scene is in 14 minutes already. And in this rooftop scene is where I see he was exaggerating all his movement, including when he was talking to himself, then when he encountered the ML, and the chase after. If the chase is considered comedy, then it was what? Like, 4-5 minutes of the entire series? And because of that it's comedy?

Payback is serious because the first minute has the MC say it straight that he's there for revenge, and even using knife. Should I laugh at that part then?

Look, to be honest, I don't care anymore by this point. You can think I'm amateur and stupid, and just a hater. I don't even know who they are, and I don't care. I just wanted to watch a drama and commented that the acting was not to my liking and standard. I've watched many dramas in the past and talk with a lot of people, and I have healthy discussion. But nitpicking about how my comment is too serious and that I don't see it's comedy is crazy. I guess good for everyone who wanted the comedy, I might want something else.

I have to say this first, I didn't hate the actor. I don't even know who he is. I'm just someone who likes BL and watch/read BL dramas/novels often. I support the authors by buying their works in MEB, and I've read this novel long time ago. I love it, and I wanted to watch it.

The first episode is okay, but the acting didn't meet my expectation. So I just say it based on what I see. But I don't know why people think I'm hating on the actor when I'm not. I don't even know their name, I just know that they're playing a role in this drama, and that's all. Apparently, it's hard to be critical in this forum.

I just learned that the actor playing Nine is James. I think he's good because I can see that even though he's all smile, his body language speak differently. I thought, oh that's a good actor. And that's why I said it. But I don't know anymore.

Sadly I've decided to just leave this drama behind. Maybe it will get better. Do let me know your opinion at the end. I'll just forget this even exist

Payback is a very serious drama though. I read the novel and I understand the concept. I didn't expect it to have comedic moment. It was good in its own way

This drama I am not sure whether it's supposed to be comedic or not. But I was commenting on how he's not able to act some parts, which I think is a reasonable comment someone who watch a drama wanted the actor to at least be decent in their acting.

I no longer watch so I don't know whether episode 2 is supposed to be comedic or not. It could be, it might not be. I no longer care.

I was actually excited when I see the announcement for the date of the drama, because I've read the novel long ago. Bought it in meb, love it so much, and I thought I would support it. But I can't express my disatisfaction towards the acting without being attacked and look down on like I'm stupid and can't see things.

Third's acting for now just consist of him being cold and indifferent, so I can't say anything. Hope he improves though, but I won't continue watching. Enjoy

I don't hate the first episode, and I just pointed out that the acting is lacking, especially during that episode. I know the fans love it, but I'm talking from the point of the outsider. I don't know the actor, I don't care about the actor, I just watch the drama as it is without any rose tinted glasses.

Make up doesn't really matter to me. Because there are many ways actor can act to convey their emotion. They can do it with their eyes.

What I have problem with is the way the character was portrayed and acted. I'm sure everyone panic attack is different, but my friend, throughout the years she had that problem, never once have this exaggerated moment. She cried silently, being quiet all of a sudden, and really have cold body. So I was not sure whether the actor is told to exaggerate or whether they just choose that route.

This is not you though, but people throwing insult at me is weird for just saying slightly negative opinion about the actor. And it's just an opinion. If they're so angry they insult me, means that I'm right on the mark and they can't refute it.

Anyway, thank you for being civil and have a good discussion. But I think I will leave this drama behind and I don't need to give it a chance since what's the point of discussion if the people here can't accept anything negative?

I don't even know who the actors are. I just wath the drama and comment on them. If you are professional actors and you can proof it to me that I'm wrong about my own opinion, which is again an opinion, then you are welcome to do so.

I didn't even hate on the actor. Again, I tell you, I don't know the actor and I don't care. I see what I see, and I comment based on what I see. If you don't like it, you can talk it out and explain it to me instead of throwing insult

We've been friends for a long time, and she suddenly got panic attack after very high pressure from her past job (she quit and get a better job thankfully). It's crushing her and she was not in a good place for quite some time. Because she always share her story with me, I know what happen. And that was the first time she got panic attack in public. She did get panic attack at night randomly and called me to calm her down, and that's why I have specific ringtone just for her so I can wake up even in the middle of the night to take her call. That's all I can do since I'm not an expert and was also still young at that time (it was around 15-18 years ago? it's been so long already)

To me in that particular scene, it was not well done. Because I experience it with my friend irl, when she got a panic attack she had trouble breathing and the best thing she can do was grabbing my hand, her hands cold, and she was stiff all around and it took so long for her to calm down. and even then, she looked so lost and her hands stay cold throughout the hours we were together.

I was not as good as Third in calming her down, what I can do is to stay beside my friend, but since I know how she was at that time, I feel like the exaggerated take hurts my heart a lot. Plus, when I saw that it was not that well done, I might be a little bit disappointed.

The actor who played Nine is actually good. Because I already read the novel beforehand, so I understand his mindset. Which is why, having him being portrayed like that on the screen make me feel that the actor is able to show his acting skill very well.

The other lead, I'm not sure. What he did so far is acting cold so I'm not sure whether he can pull that off until the end.

To be honest, I don't remember them in Your Sky. They're the friends of the bar owner? Or the friends of the other lead?

Back again, it's my opinion. I don't feel his acting yet, and it could be just me.
For now, I'm observing

The panic attack was not handled well, in my opinion. Again, this is just my opinion

I'm not sure why the director asked him to act like that, but even in small moment, he is a bit stiff to me. I might not be a good judge on acting, and everyone else might be right. But I can feel this awkwardness radiating on my screen, and maybe that's why I'm not into his acting

I saw irl my friend having a panic attack and maybe that's why I'm thinking even in that moment, it was not properly handled. Everyone panic attack might be different, but I go by the irl example, which happened right in front of my eyes, so based on that knowledge, I'm not convinced with his acting yet

Any relationship started in a lie, will always have a bad result. No matter how small the lie is.

And I can feel Moth being uncomfortable and this slight unease in his demeanor whenever Dr Phun is doing "things" for him. It's not bad to celebrate with friends, but when the other person clearly has ulterior motive it reeks so bad, anyone would be uncomfortable.

I'm not sure in what direction the drama is going, but I'm interested enough to continue

Am I the only one who thinks tha the acting is super exaggerated?
The part where I feel this the most is during the encounter on the rooftop. The excessive blinking, and the way it's so not naturally acted. It might screw my perspective but I feel like the main lead have problem with his acting.

The other guy basically just have to stand there looking stern so I can't judge it. But the main lead, which is the MC of the story, being bad in acting is hard for me to watch. Plus the story is not super engaging enough to maintain interest.
