I saw that Thai people really liked this series, read many good reviews for this on twt too. I think interfans…
I think the biggest "problem" is that the drama is not full of "shock factor" like other drama There's also no NC scenes, as it's more about comfort style drama. To me, this drama is definitely a love at first sight, because I do love cats and I love slice of life.
But glad to know people love it! Because it's a good and comforting drama
What makes me curious is the summary of the drama. Anything supernatural-based plot is actually something that I enjoy, so with that expectation I dive into the drama.
The main plot is Jerome has this rivalry going on with his neighbor Jinn for as long as he can remember. But one day, he suddenly dreamed about them being in love, and worst, dream about Jinn in an accident.
In the dream, they should be together 10 years later, but it feels like the dreams keep changing. I want to say butterfly effect, but it's still 10 years before, and they're already together. What's the consequences? Just the accident moving forward? Then what's the purpose of setting the dream to be 10 years later? I just feel like there's this big hole gap that needs to be filled in the story, but no one bothers.
I wish they focus more on the main couple and to flesh out the reason why Jerome suddenly had dreams about Jinn in the first place. There's a hint, but it feels so lacking. It's better to have this wormhole or alternate universe where the bad things happen, but they rectify it with the different universe Jerome and Jinn (of course we got none of that).
Instead, they take away the focus from the main couple to the secondary couple, and in a way, it convoluted the story. I feel like I'm watching 2 separate dramas, and I don't enjoy it. The second couple got so much screentime for absolutely no reason except that they're there to give us another BL couple. They don't add anything to the main plot, just there to be there.
Plot: 7/10. Main couple is okay but too much screentime given to secondary couple. Plot about the "dreams of future" explained in less than 5 minutes. Acting: 6.5/10. The first couple is still okay and could convince me in some areas. The second couple felt like they're trying to create that atmosphere, but I don't feel it. Music: 6.5/10. Typical and standard BL music Rewatch: 6/10. After knowing the secret of the "future dreams" I don't see the need to even rewatch it. Unless the viewers really just love the two couples.
In overall, it's 6.5/10 for me. When it comes to supernatural-theme drama, I wish there's some clear rules that explained on why certain things happen. Not just give us less than 5 minute explanation on "what might possible happen that creates the future dreams for Jerome" and then end it like that. Plus there's no continuation to the dream, it changes whenever the plot wanted it to change. All in all decent, but the supernatural element is underutilized.
Ex-morning is the drama I never thought I would like, but in the end, I actually really like it.
The story plot is very very simple, about 2 people with a past and trying to regain back their past happiness. Even though the title is called ex-morning, it never feels like they're an ex. It's like they're just pausing their relationship at some point and then restarted it later when they're back together. And I get that vibe a lot throughout the drama.
They clearly never been with anyone else during their "break up" period. One is too prickly for others to approach, and one is feeling guilty for the break up. So in the end, they never felt like "exes" relationship. Phi and Tam still so much in love with each other, but the condition somehow make them separated. That's why them getting back together is not much of an effort, which I appreciate honestly. I didn't like messy relationship and messy breakup. Their breakup was never really due to cheating or something like that, but it's more about being left behind without knowing the reason. So when the other come back, their romance that was halted for years back again.
The drama also felt more chill and didn't really have any overarching villain. Except for the ridiculousness in ep 9, which felt very "Thailand" somehow, the rest of the episodes really fun, easy and enjoyable to watch. The wedding is also very pretty and I love the chaosness.
Plot: 7.5/10. Simple and easy to follow. Except for the outlier episode 9, the rest of the episodes really fun and enjoyable to watch. There's really no "villain" or the baddies, which means the drama felt more like slice of life rather than your usual exaggerated BL drama with a lot of dramatic tension. Acting: 9/10. The highest point that I could give for Thailand actors. I love that both felt very natural with each other. There are many pairs that work together for more dramas than this pair, but they never felt authentic. It's easier for me to believe in their love story when they're able to convince me they're truly in love. Even the supporting characters show good performance. Music: 8/10. Very good songs. Love that the song match the vibe of the show: chill and enjoyable to listen to Rewatch: 8/10. Except for episode 9, everything else can be rewatched. I would love to rewatch sometimes just to see the two exes doing whatever they can to annoy each other (and failing of course)
In overall: 7.5/10
PS: I've said that I didn't like seeing the same people doing the same project again and again. Of course, I've watched them back during their SOTUS era, and this drama feels like an extension of that one. The characters felt the same, just with different name and different profession.
But in all honesty, I really enjoy their performance. They might be an established BL couple, but their acting really make me feel like they're worth to be kept as pair. Plus, I've seen them act with others before, and they still did solid job. This showed that their acting skill already good enough by themselves, and when they're together they're a spark of joy to watch
Reset is the story of Armin, a very popular actor at his time, coming back to his youthful days when he was still struggling to make it as an actor after he died, betrayed by his lover and his "friend".
I watched another rebirth-theme drama but with more youthful casts, and between the two, for complex storytelling, Reset wins. But for emotional storytelling point, the other drama wins.
I've read too many "rebirth" novels in my life, could be in hundreds or maybe in thousands, so I'm very familiar with how rebirth story/plot usually go. Reset hits all the necessary plot line, and added with a touch of cartoony villain and revenge. While it's not bad, but the way the villain is written is so "cartoon-like", as the villain is villain because the writer choose them as villain. It's definitely very Thailand way to do a drama, where most of the time they rely on the shock factor to keep the plot going.
Though the villain part kinda annoying in some ways, the scene between the two leads actually very natural and could be considered as good. Their relationship is built based on "long-time fan" situation, and it's clear from the beginning, at least to me, that Armin has special feeling for TD (Thada), but he's not able to show it because the others also refuse to step into the light to meet him. That's why their connection in the "rebirth" storyline felt much more meaningful, because to Armin, TD has always been his one and only source of support throughout his worst days. Which is why I could believe in their love story.
But other than the story of the leads? Most of the time it's all about coincidence after coincidence. Even the ending felt so cartoonish in the way that's quite unbelievable for me. Except for the last 2 episodes, I think the drama itself is fine.
Plot: 7/10. Not the best, but not the worst. Because I'm used to rebirth-theme story, this didn't really hold any special meaning to me. Villains are cartoon-like and the plot could be a mess sometimes. But what carry it is the interaction between the leads, as it felt genuine and fun. Acting: 8/10. The biggest point to this drama. There are times when I believe they are the characters in the drama, especially Armin's actor. Every part of his body screams Armin, and he makes it so enjoyable to watch the drama no matter how silly the plot is, especially at the last 2 episodes. Music: 7/10. Good enough Rewatch: 6/10. Since it's rebirth revenge drama, once you know the villain and how they're going to end, rewatch is not really that valuable. Sweet scenes between the two leads might be worth it to rewatch, but mostly skip the rest of the story.
Story is about Win who had the biggest regret of his life when he was young, and turned out to be this bitter guy in his 40s, who got the chance to redo his life again when he was young. It's essentially a story of rebirth, but done in Thai way.
To be honest, I've been through rebirth story too many times, especially if you're active reader of chinese danmei. That's why I don't really have any expectation for Rearrange that much, considering that this theme is just so overdone there and I've read too many of this genre to recognize the flaw.
Rearrange is a story about coming back to your youth days to fix what's wrong in your life, and Win did exactly that. In this drama, Win knew what he wanted, which is to meet with his beloved one again who died early, and to be in a band with him to fulfill their dreams.
What I love is that Win has clear goals, though he said too many times he came from the future (which sounds crazy to others), which I eye-roll him everytime he said that. But back to goals, Win knew what he's going to do and he planned for that day to come. While he can't change everything that happened, but he make some little changes her and there that eventually become a larger enough change to make the second life matters.
The love story I feel a little bit lacking. The main couple is cute, but other than Win being so obvious and so cute about his feelings, the rest of the cast feel so vague. I know Nut had some change in his feelings, but when exactly i can't pinpoint it. I can see it suddenly happening, but the shift was not there. It's also the same for second couple, Chai and Aek. Their change in dynamic feels so sudden, and Aek's actor feel so robotic didn't help. The GL couple feels more natural, but also the most confusing.
Plot: 7/10, While rebirth story is so overdone, this one starts with simple things. What Win wanted to do was not revenge, but just to spend more time with his loved ones. And I find that heartwarming. Love story is really lacking, which take down some points. Acting: 6.5/10. Win's actor is phenomenal. Nut's actor to some extend is serviceable. Chai is okay but Aek needs more practice. The GL is fine. But I feel like the acting is carried by Win and his father. Both are amazing at their roles. Music: 10/10. The best thing on the show! i don't listen much to Thai songs, but they really sing some good songs. Love it a lot. Rewatchable: 7/10. I think it's a very simple and easy to watch drama. Those who like rebirth + slice of life (with sprinkle of drama here and there) could easily rewatch it
I might be in the minority that didn't hate this drama too much
The story is about 2 playboys (Jimmy and Te) who finally got their lesson in love. One is more miserable than the other.
I think that for the story itself, it's all about redemption. Since the beginning, To's own brother had mentioned it over and over again, not to fall in love with playboy like Jimmy. He had ulterior motives, and we, as the viewers, know that. But again, it's not easy to just stop yourself from falling in love, especially when the other is just your type. There's always that saying of how people usually fall from bad boy because they feel the challenge to tame them. It could be the same for this one.
The drama might not be good at showing this, but in his own subtle way, Jimmy started falling in love with To long ago before he himself even realize what he's feeling. I know it's easy to just say that Jimmy is a jerk and move on, but I do think that he's not to blame for everything. He didn't know love and couldn't recognize it, so he treated it as just a lingering feeling he could forget. Of course, he could not forget. And when he realize it, he's trying to gain that love back.
Plot: 6/10. I don't think it's as bad as what others said. I did enjoy it more, maybe because I'm looking at it through 3rd person perspective. I can see how everyone is written in a way that they're all flawed, but they still have redeeming quality Acting: 6/10. The acting might also cause the problem on how we connect to the characters. While Jimmy is good as bad boy, I don't think I can see To as the innocent guy. Fah is supposed to be flirty but his acting didn't convince me on that Music: 6/10. Not the best but not the worst Rewatchable: 0/10. Definitely not for the faint heart
I dont like to see same actors playing lovers again and again in different shows. Somehow, I could not relate…
I feel you on this one. I get tired after watching them 2 or 3 times together. Even though they're in different shows, it feels like they're the same character, just changing name and background
The story is about 2 people who live in different parts of the country; one in the city and the other one in the countryside. Despite their first impression on each other, they develop feelings beyond normal friendship.
While this is still the standard Thai BL, compared to the Cat for Cash which had that Chinese danmei vibe. My Sweetheart Jom is undeniably Thailand BL, with the many weird soundtracks and the exaggeration from many of its main casts, including the 3 boys and the grandma. Even though it feels like standard Thai BL, but I don't feel it's a slapstick comedy, which is good, because for Thailand when it comes to comedy it feels like it needs to be this exaggerated scenes. This drama has that, but not in the way that's annoying. Just a little bit of cringe, but I consider that normal.
Story is also flowing nicely and properly. Love that the two leads developing their relationship naturally. There are certain moment in which I think unnecessary (like the rain moment) to create that romantic atmosphere, because just the two leads standing together already have that aura. So it feels redundant.
The story about the village is quite nicely included, though true to Thai BL sense, it's just sprinkled here and there, and not really the main point of the drama.
The best thing about this drama is that the "drama" itself is not dragged out. Any problems or issues that might cause big "misunderstanding" is resolved within minutes or at least within one episode. This what makes the story easy to follow and enjoyable to watch.
Plot: 7/10. Simple and easy enough to follow. No big issue or misunderstanding that wasted too much time to resolve Acting: 8/10. Acting might be the strongest part of this drama. Especially the two leads, they are mesmerizing together Music: 6/10. Not my favorite. Maybe the overly "slapstick feel" make me feel weirded out Rewatch: 6/10. There are some moments that you can rewatch, but I don't feel it's necessary
I have to say it first, that my rating is definitely inflated due to the cats. I'm a cat person, so my rating can be a little bit unreliable when the story itself is focused on the cats and the people around cats.
There's also this feeling that I'm watching chinese danmei instead of Thai BL, due to how chill and slow-burn it is.
The story started with Tiger who love cats but can't be around cats due to his allergy (which he countered with medicine) meet with Lynx, the person who is like a cat in personality. Their story is more on the slower side, there's nothing major really happen, so it's a slice of life type of drama. Which is actually quite rare in Thai dramas in general, as they often rely on the shock value to keep the audience engaged.
Cat for Cash story is really slow burn, from the interaction between the human and the cats, as well as the romance. There's no big obstacles in the relationship between the leads. Tiger fell in love immediately since the first episode, while it takes Lynx more time to accept that he can trust love once more despite his womaniser father. While there's this time when Tiger and Lynx show jealousy, it was never overdone. Tiger didn't suddenly go MIA and Lynx didn't suddenly change his personality. They resolve the jealousy in a way that's quite mature, I must say. Again, there's no big argument happening throughout the drama, even with Lynx's shitty father.
The story itself is actually very simple. Our 2 leads actually come from different background. Tiger is the rich guy and his job is to run his father's money lending business, but like many other dramas, most of the time his time is spent with our other male lead, Lynx, who is actually his debtor. Sometimes, their job is never their main focus, so I can let that slide. Even the cat cafe didn't feel like cat cafe anymore after around episode 4. It's not just a problem of this drama, most of Thai dramas (BL or not), still have problems to balance the "job" and the "romance" side. Like students' main job should be to study, but most of the time we didn't even see them study.
In overall, the story is slow-burn and fun to watch for people who like the actors and also cat people. There's hardly any big obstacles or problem, so the story feel really slow.
Plot: 7/10. I feel like the score is bumped due to the cute cats throughout the drama. I'm glad that the focus is the cat, even Lynx is being likened to a cat (by our dear lovesick Tiger), since they use "cat" in the title. I also love slice-of-life, so it's a comfort drama for me.
Acting: 8.5/10. Obviously, the 2 leads are amazing. They can convey emotions with just their eyes and their body language. Like when Lynx was hurting but trying to keep it inside, his body language said it. It feels more powerful than them crying nonstop. Every dialogue feels like real emotion, which is a treat to watch
My honest take on this one, as someone who read the novel way ahead before the drama aired. And I have to make this clear first, I didn't judge based on the novel. I based it on the drama alone.
Me and Thee is the drama that seems so cringey and seems the most impossible to make you entertained, but it did. The over the top Mr Thee managed to make me laugh with his every action, and combined with his ever serious (but definitely overworked) and stoic secretary, Mr Thee is the highlight of the whole drama. Without his grandiose gesture and his crazy understanding of the current Thai culture, Mr Thee wouldn't be this entertaining. It didn't help that Mr Thee lives within this bubble that only makes sense to himself. And somehow that's what makes him endearing.
The entire story is about grounding Mr Thee to a more "normal" way of living. But to be honest, what's "normal" again? "Normal" is a standard set by the majority where they see that the "normal" way of living is working hard, being humble, and live moderately. Mr Thee with his crazy and over the top spending, expensive things that he had, and his own life style might not be seen as "normal" to people. This is why we need Peach to ground him. Though I'm glad that Mr Thee still manage to be himself up until the end, the grandiose and over the top him, that I love from the start.
This drama manage to make me cringe and laugh at the same time, because I like the plot and I like Mr Thee enough to keep going.
Plot: 6.5/10. The first half was good, but the last 3 feels like it's dragging a lot Acting: 6.5/10. Reason: This drama is carried by Mr Thee, Mok, and Rome. The actor who played Thee really take quite a challenging role in this drama in my opinion, because he is making his character stay within the middle, not annoying but ended up as endearing. Mok and Rome also helped in making the acting score go up, because I think they're so good in their role. To me, the actor who played Peach still couldn't really act well with his facial expression. His body language has improved, but his facial expression says different thing. I can feel this during the time when he encountered Thee's parents. He had this same expression that didn't change. He just need to work a little bit more on his expression and I think he's good. The other weak link is actually the model pairs. I feel like Santa got typecasted somehow into this certain role, while Perth's acting stays stagnant. Music: 7/10 Rewatchable: 6.5/10 (The last 3 quite draggy, but the first 7 episodes actually very enjoyable) Overall: 6.5/10
I think I'm glad I read the novel first before watching the drama
The drama is definitely more romanticised and dramatised. Being a drama, I can understand. I won't judge based on the novel.
The two main leads, In and Thap, are really just such good people with good heart. In, despite not liking what he had (which is his power), always ready to help others because he had lost his family back then. I love that he stays true to this nature, from the beginning to the end. Thap can be very annoying at first with his sharp tongue and words, but no one can deny that he's a good doctor, and also a good person (just buried beneath his own snakey tongue).
That's why the entire story can go on because these two hold the fort and make it palatable watching the drama from beginning to end.
The mystery is not really a mystery. It was not that exciting, so it actually takes a little bit of point from me for that. I wish we're just more focused on the life of In and Thap rather than spending the precious time for the mystery.
Plot: 7/10 Acting: 7.5/10. I somehow love this role for these two a lot than their previous ones. They fit this type of role very much and they're much more natural now compared to before Music: 7/10 Rewatchable: 6/10. Only the sweet scene worth watching, others not so much
Sometimes it's a preference. But they're so natural with their coupling so I can understand if people didn't see…
Could be lol I see them as a natural couple. I was so hooked at their interaction I didn't even realize that they didn't have "chemistry" like people said
People saying NgernOat have no chemistry, I've really seen everything lol
Sometimes it's a preference. But they're so natural with their coupling so I can understand if people didn't see their "chemistry" It's not sizzling or hot, but it's so natural. The way Arthit touch Dao, laying on his laps, and their interaction together just feel like a normal couple. This normalcy that makes their love story so believable and so endearing to watch, at least to me
I sooo agree! I have read all 4 books and watched the series, thit and dad have the best chemistry!! Only complain…
I wish they have the entire series by themselves. Their love story feels so short because they need to build that connection. But even through the short 8 episodes, I feel like their story have the most impact to me. I was so hooked I forgot I need to wake up tomorrow morning to go to work lol
The reason why Arthit and Dao still my most favourite couple of this universe is because they are complete strangers,…
Forgot to say that this will be my last series from this universe. Sadly, I'm not interested in the last couple, Tiger and Nao, at all. So with Arthit and Dao, I will take my leave. Fourever You universe, thank you for giving me joy.
The reason why Arthit and Dao still my most favourite couple of this universe is because they are complete strangers, who meet by chance, and fall in love after healing each other. They have no past connection, no past love, they're both really just strangers who happened to meet because of their friend's circle. Maybe that's why, in this universe, they're the couple that connect with me the most.
Their story is also the most touching. It's not "love at first sight" cliche, or "I love you because you help me" kind of trope. Arthit and Dao fall in love with each other in the most natural way. They get to know each other, good and bad, and decided that they would take this relationship to the next level. That's also why their story feels the most genuine.
While others might think that it's too slow burn, or plot didn't move along at all, that's because many had been conditioned to think that relationship should come in a flash. But Arthit and Dao told us that relationship could be built day-by-day, through their interaction, through learning more about each other, and through their own experience. Both have their own problems; Arthit with not being able to accept the loss of his mother, and Dao with his ability to see what others can't see (which lead to his bad first relationship). And throughout the story, they learn to love themselves and then learn to love each other. Their love was never sudden, it was there, building step-by-step without them realizing it.
Despite what others said, their story remains to be my favourite. I enjoy every second, and I wish I could see their love story more.
Plot: 7.5/10 Acting: 7/5/10 - Very natural from both the leads. I'm surprised they can convince me, especially Arthit, that they're the characters they're playing. It could be due to the building from the first episode and that it's a universe, so it feels whole. None of the casts disappoint me greatly. Music: 6/10 - Could be better Rewatchable: 7/10 - Could rewatch some points because Arthit and Dao together is just fire
Maybe I didn't fully grasp how the spirit born from obsession worked but... Why everyone never - not once - think…
It has always been explained since the beginning.
Point of case is Yan Ke. When he was alive, he tried to rebel 5 times only to end up in failure and getting his limbs tore apart by horses. That's the obsession that he can't get rid of, which is why he turned to evil spirit.
Again with Chenying. He was a lonely boy who only have 2 people in his life he loves so much: Duan Xu and He Simu. During the time he died, Duan Xu and He Simu got separated. He wanted to fulfill the promise for them to meet again, and that's why he died while carrying this obsession.
This is the same with Jiang Ai. She wanted money, so her one and only obsession until the day she died is to get more money. That's why she becomes the richest person in Yuzhou.
It's different for Duan Xu. His obsession while he was alive is to unite the 17 provinces so there will be no longer children who will get abducted like him to be the killing machine. Again, his obsession in life was never He Simu.
Yes he is willing to give up his life and his senses for He Simu, and he said it at the end when Feng Yi asked him why he risked his own life for this. Duan Xu said it's that he wanted He Simu to be happy. While he might be just another grave for her but at least his existence is unique due to the connection that he has with Simu. Again and again, he never mentioned that he wanted to be evil spirit and follow He Simu forever. He knew his own lifespan and he accepted it, which was mentioned several times throughout the drama. Duan Xu said it himself: he is willing to exchange the senses because he never thought of wanting to live forever or a long life. That's why everyone knows that Duan Xu will never be evil spirit.
Remember that the main reason they become evil spirit because they have something unresolved in their life.
Duan Xu had achieved what he wanted the moment the 17 provinces back to Da Liang. He no longer has regrets
There's also no NC scenes, as it's more about comfort style drama. To me, this drama is definitely a love at first sight, because I do love cats and I love slice of life.
But glad to know people love it! Because it's a good and comforting drama

Good enough
Rewatch: 6/10. Since it's rebirth revenge drama, once you know the villain and how they're going to end, rewatch is not really that valuable. Sweet scenes between the two leads might be worth it to rewatch, but mostly skip the rest of the story.
In overall 7.5/10
Those who like rebirth + slice of life (with sprinkle of drama here and there) could easily rewatch it
In overall: 7/10
I can see how everyone is written in a way that they're all flawed, but they still have redeeming quality
Acting: 6/10. The acting might also cause the problem on how we connect to the characters. While Jimmy is good as bad boy, I don't think I can see To as the innocent guy. Fah is supposed to be flirty but his acting didn't convince me on that
Music: 6/10. Not the best but not the worst
Rewatchable: 0/10. Definitely not for the faint heart
Overall score: 6/10
No big issue or misunderstanding that wasted too much time to resolve
Acting: 8/10. Acting might be the strongest part of this drama. Especially the two leads, they are mesmerizing together
Music: 6/10. Not my favorite. Maybe the overly "slapstick feel" make me feel weirded out
Rewatch: 6/10. There are some moments that you can rewatch, but I don't feel it's necessary
In overall: 7/10
Music: 10/10. One word: PERFECT!
Rewatchable: 7/10. Some scenes worth to rewatch
Overall score: 7.5/10
The first half was good, but the last 3 feels like it's dragging a lot
Acting: 6.5/10.
Music: 7/10
Rewatchable: 6.5/10 (The last 3 quite draggy, but the first 7 episodes actually very enjoyable)
Overall: 6.5/10
Plot: 7/10
Acting: 7.5/10. I somehow love this role for these two a lot than their previous ones. They fit this type of role very much and they're much more natural now compared to before
Music: 7/10
Rewatchable: 6/10. Only the sweet scene worth watching, others not so much
But maybe others can't see it? haha
Oh wait, it's viral on X?
I see them as a natural couple. I was so hooked at their interaction I didn't even realize that they didn't have "chemistry" like people said
It's not sizzling or hot, but it's so natural. The way Arthit touch Dao, laying on his laps, and their interaction together just feel like a normal couple. This normalcy that makes their love story so believable and so endearing to watch, at least to me
Their story is also the most touching.
Plot: 7.5/10
Acting: 7/5/10 - Very natural from both the leads. I'm surprised they can convince me, especially Arthit, that they're the characters they're playing. It could be due to the building from the first episode and that it's a universe, so it feels whole. None of the casts disappoint me greatly.
Music: 6/10 - Could be better
Rewatchable: 7/10 - Could rewatch some points because Arthit and Dao together is just fire
