This is my just theory or assumption. It was not really shown in the drama but i think he was still breathing right after that scene where he seemed like he's dead then they put him in his coffin when he's still alive. after faking his death or right after the funeral, he went out of his coffin then talk to his wife to tell her that he plans to get treatment in hiding. I think he did that so that the enemy would lower their ground because he 'died'. Maybe the crown prince also told his royal guard about his plan and that might be the reason why he ran after seeing the handkerchief. I also think that there is a scene about this but they deleted it and that is why it feels a bit incomplete or rushed. (I did not read the novel)

Give him a chance, try to watch him in Angel's Last Mission: Love.

I literally cried. It was beautifully constructed and especially that ending. It's like watching Lovely Runner's episode 2 ending part. It's so good, every bit of their dating era gave me so many butterflies in my stomach ❤️

Whatever happens, I will always applaud Ding Yuxi’s acting. Let me tell you, if that’s how he acts in the drama, then that’s exactly how they wanted him to portray the character. If you’re disappointed, don’t blame Ding Yuxi—blame the script. I haven’t read the novel, but mind you, he has, because he always studies the source material to get into character. That’s just the kind of actor he is. So again, if there’s a problem, it’s most likely not him.

It’s kind of normal, but in this case, they failed to see the bigger picture and didn’t address the elephant in the room. Even if they had, liking your sister-in-law is still considered an issue in society, even today. After all, there’s something called the “bro code,” and technically, Wei Yun didn’t follow that.
