Perfect Crown is not perfect but it doesn't change the fact that it's one of the most successful romcoms of this year. The viewership ratings in itself and the mass talk about this drama in every social platform proves its popularity and influence not just in korea but globally. IU and BWS definitely didn't fall short, they delivered with their performance, we could evidently see how hard they worked for their characters and the effort they put, same goes for the rest of the cast. At the end of the day, popular dramas are always brought down by controversies that was overblown by certain people wanting to intentionally target a drama. IU and BWS clearly had no fault in any of these matters at all and I know they are only apologizing to lessen the blow but, I have so much appreciation for the both of them and their craft.

So, saying goodbye to this drama ✨I really had a fun time with it.It was the first K-drama that brought me back…
Most of the time the 12 or 16 eps limit majorly depends on production company not the writers and producers as they are minority. Also have to consider the sponsors that are often forgotten. Disney+ and MBC surely wanted to play safe. I agree a 16 ep would have made this more fleshed out, i'm also wanting more of them, however they did pretty well even with a 12 ep limit which most dramas of same limit often cannot do. I shared my sentiments about the abolishment of the monarchy the other day, for me, it totally made sense for them to abolish it as it was like as you stated a golden cage. I think some viewers missed out on nuances in this drama or they just wanted them to stay king and queen hence the grievances regarding this plot arc, but this ending they gave us truly made sense. Ian has constantly showed signs of not wanting it, which clearly answered why he never made a move in the first place despite the cards in his hands not until he needed to for Huiju. As for Huiju, abolishment of the crown is also a favorable outcome for her, since the first time she met Ian, she was against the extreme class system, she experienced the unfairness of it all first-hand. If she was the Queen, all her hardwork would be for nothing. She didn't get the noble status but her husband aboslished it for her, which sounds so romantic.

I've enjoyed from beginning to end. Thank you perfect crown for being a comfort drama 🤍! Contrary to others this was the best romcom imo ✨️ and EP12 was the pefect way to end this. I had stated my stance yesterday about the monarchy abolishment, i'm glad I was right. IAN never desired the throne but he desired freedom. This always is a win for Hui Ju, now that the extreme case of status difference has been erased just exactly as her younger self wished for. This drama brought me so much joy the past week. So reluctant to let it go. I'll probably rewatch after a few days. Great job to Perfect Crown cast and production crew, grateful to them for bringing us this drama, it's really one of the few romcoms that turned up to be special for me. Also glad that it received a lot of recognition which it deserves, during airing time viewership ratings remained high 👏 IU and BWS were amazing on this one, their acting performance and chemistry was worth every second. This is 10/10 for me!!

they use fire extinguisher but it wasnt shown properly, a man passed by behind carrying it
Its around 3:27-3:28 a royal guard in white uni runs behind Huiju and Secretary Do, their background is blurred and it happens in split sec no wonder it is easily missed. Yep 🤣 they really said historical but it also made me wonder why they didn't focus on the fire extinguisher

U will be disappointed ..i guess. Bcz the drama is really going into freedom plot rather than him becoming king
I think I won't bcs i'm actually 50/50 about the monarchy. Oh i just replied to your comment above hehe

wanted to say tht abolition of monarchy was the best decision made by I-An.I get it tht it will not satisfy many…
Your thoughts aligned exactly with mine about the abolishement of the monarchy. Hence, I was also in favor of it because as per detail you perfectly mentioned, the crown was basically more of a chain or prison cell to him. If he truly wanted to be king he would have done it years ago, he had every means to but always intentionally chose not to. The only reason he desires it now comes from his protective nature, wanting to protect his loved ones. So it does make total sense and aligns with the story. Another point I must add, Hui Ju from beginning was against 'status difference' (refer back to their highschool scene what she said when IAN caught her practicing archery). Only reason she chased the highs was bcs the Crown remained existent = nobility remain existent. So abolishing it might cost lost of her royal status but also favors her younger self.

I've honestly been avoiding this comment section ever since I started watching this. I didn't want it to kill…
It doesn't make sense at all how they can erase everything so easily and be so hyperfixated on ep 11. Exactly. It's really an agenda by certain people at this point.

We posted almost at same time. I thought the same about IAN aboloshing plan.
We shall see how it will all turn out later. I'm actually in the middle 50/50 about the monarchy. A part of me wants him to stay as King as he deserved it, while another part of me would understand if he chose to abolish it all. My reason for the latter is, I feel like altho he does say he wants to be king, it does not stem from a mere inner desire of "just bcs I want to" but more of " i need to be king to protect those i value most". Because if it was his own desire, he would have had made himself the king a long time ago, esp having known about his deceased bros erdict but the thing is he didn't. He held on for so long when he had every mean no to. To me, IAN cares more about protecting his love ones. There were also bcs other instances when he had hinted signs of being chained by the crown. It wasn't freedom for him. If he abolishes, he gets the freedom, they get peace. Huiju loses her nobility but it's also a big turning point for her, she used to be a mere status chaser and didn't like the status difference, abolishing the crown will cost her but it will also be in favor for her desire and quelms about status inequality.

Honestly, I never thought I’d reach a point where I actually want this drama to end faster just so the constant…
I've honestly been avoiding this comment section ever since I started watching this. I didn't want it to kill my mood and enjoyment. Which I think was a totally right decision on my part. I don't know about every one else but I didn't think episode 11 was that "drastically bad". I'm quite dumbfounded seeing various comments calling this drama a sh*t show just because of one eps where they didn't like the turn of events. I think that is an unfair claim and doesn't really do justice at all. I admit this drama has its flaws and there are certain aspects that could have been improved if not for the short runtime, though it still doesn't change how the rest of the other episodes were very greatly done and doesn't take away credit to actors excellent performances.

Why am I getting the feeling that IAN is using 'abolishing monarchy' as a trap for PM. Anyway, i've been enjoying this drama since the 1st episode but now it's coming to an end. Time is so quick when you truly enjoy something. It's a shame this is one of those dramas that needed and deserved atleast 16 eps. IU and Byeon Woo Seok chemistry was something unexpected. I didn't know I needed them in a drama together until now. I could see Byeon Woo Seok growth as an actor. His performance in this drama is commendable especially ep 10. He pulled it off so well. He naturally embodies elegance of a prince. I am having mixed feelings atm, more of I don't want this drama to end yet because I will suffer a lot from postdrama depression. I don't feel like picking up anything else but this.
